This is not a waterproof product! This mat is cute and waterproof, so it was the perfect choice for me. In my case, I work at home and game, so I'm at my desk for 10+ hours per day, so I wanted something cute I could wear. These colors are so vivid and beautiful! This is a thick and very large book.
