The design is stunning, and the tracking performance is flawless. The thumb placement for an ambidextrous mouse is well thought out, but the right click on my mouse is extremely wobbly, to the point where it feels like the switch is getting caught on something every time I click it. I've gone through a lot of these mice and had to return a lot of them due to QC issues or problems with the first-generation switches. NOTE: The 2nd generation optical switches are clearly mentioned in Amazon's advertising, but the only way to be sure of getting a model with these switches is to buy one of the non-optical models. models dressed in black I bought two black Viper Ultimates, each with first-generation optical switches.

I recently purchased three mice to compare: the Razer Viper Ultimate (RVU), the Logitech G305, and the Logitech Gaming Pro Wireless (GPW). What I discovered was this: Quality of Construction: br>br> RVU > GPW > G305. The thock sound when using the clicks is so satisfying, and the mouse just feels quality (no squeaks, no QC concerns). RVU's newer switches feel really nice; this is a personal preference, but the thock sound when using the clicks is so satisfying, and the mouse just feels quality (no squeaks, no QC concerns). For me, the feet were adequate, and the mouse's grips were adequate. GPW is a reliable mouse that is also very basic. It had better sliding, but it wasn't noticeable enough to be an issue. My G305 has a lot of customizations, but the quality (weight distribution, button clicks, etc. ) is on the lower end of the scale. aesthetics: br>br>aesthetics: aesthetics: aesthetics: ae RVU> G305> GPW. I really like how the RVU is designed. I went with the Mercury White version to match my white gaming rig (I know, so unique). Razer does an excellent job in terms of design. My G305 has black aftermarket grips, while the GPW is just a plain black mouse. I found the GPW design to be extremely boring, but it is very clean, so it is something I would recommend if you like that look. GPW: GPW: GPW: GPW: GPW: GPW: GPW: GPW: GPW: GPW G305> RVU. This was the reason I had to return the RVU. I have 18x10cm hands and use a claw fingertip hybrid grip, so I assumed the RVU would be ideal, but there is a strange design flaw with the RVU. The meaty part of your thumb (opponens pollicis muscle for you nerds) is caught by a lip on the back hump on the left side. It isn't painful, but it can be irritating when making quick twitch-based movements. like the kinds of actions you'd see in a first-person shooter game. br>br>Installation: br>br>Installation: br>br> It was never an issue for me. On the basis of appearances, I prefer the Ghub. I don't want to think about my mouse software any more than I have to, so the Razer interface isn't as simple. Value: br>br> G305> RVU> GPW. It was only for this reason that I kept my trusty old G305. It's dirt cheap (on sale, it's around $30), and the weight comparison (with the AAA battery mod) wasn't as bad as I expected. I agree that the other mice appear to be happier, but the law of diminishing returns is clearly in effect. For what you get, RVU is one of the best values available. I got it for around $90 with the wireless dock during Prime Day. Finally, the GPW is one of those cases where, because it's so close to the GPX in price, you might as well save $40 and get the better, newer version. br>br>Conclusion: br>br> I decided to keep the G305 I already had and wait until I find a mouse I really like (perhaps the GPX in white?). Don't get me wrong: I think it's great. The RVU mouse is a fantastic piece of hardware. If at all possible, I recommend trying one out in a nearby store. However, the most important aspect of a mouse for me is comfort, and it was simply not comfortable in my hand.

, & I really enjoyed using the Glorious Mice, but I missed having a wireless mouse like the Logitech G900. The G900 was a strange mouse that didn't quite live up to expectations in any area but was still a good all-around mouse. The Model O/D mice are fantastic mice that had absolutely no flaws. I just wanted to treat myself to this Viper Ultimate because it was on sale and I was missing the wireless aspect (there is the Model O Wireless, after all). However, the O- is my favorite. Let's talk about this mouse, the Viper Ultimate. br>br> It has a nice feel to it in the hand, and despite being a small mouse, the body feels very sturdy. It has a matte finish on the outside and rubber on the inside. The matte finish is a little rough, but that's not a bad thing! It has a better grip than other matte finishes, such as Glorious' matte finish. br>br>I've been missing wireless for a long time! It's been almost three years since I last used a wireless mouse, which was when I upgraded from the Logitech G900 to the Glorious Model O. It's been a lot of fun to play without wires. The dock and mouse have magnets in them, so when you go to charge them, they kind of snap back into place. Soft rubber feet are slightly sticky on the charging dock. It won't stick like an adhesive sticker would, and it won't leave any residue or anything like that. This dock will not move if it is accidentally touched, so you can rest assured that it will stay put unless you move it on purpose. If you connect the charging dock to your computer, it will only charge when the computer is turned on. You can connect the dock to a charge brick plugged into a wall if you want it to charge while you're not using your computer. The only catch is that the dock will not be compatible with Razer Synapse. The dock can also serve as a central hub for the two devices. The Viper Ultimate is connected to a 4GHz wireless receiver. Alternatively, you can simply connect the receiver to a USB port on your computer. The battery life is quite impressive. It lasts about 3 hours. With RGB turned on, 4 days if you game for about 5 hours per day. This mouse glides across a pair of cloth mouse pads! The only drawback is that if you have a heavy hand, the friction of the bottom of the mouse, where the charging dock cutout is, rubbing against the cloth mouse pad, can be felt. I'm not a heavy-handed person, so I'm not aware of it, but I did apply downward pressure during testing and was aware of it. br>br>It appears that I received the Viper Ultimate V2 version, which has upgraded switches. The switches on V1 appear to be defective. Both V1 and V2 use optical switches; the difference is that V2 addresses the issues that the V1 switches had. I can't say that the mouse has improved my aim because I changed a lot of things when I got it. The height of my chair and the position of my monitor, for example, have altered my aiming form. I've noticed that my aim has improved, but for the reasons stated above, I can't say that it's entirely due to the mouse. br>br>Overall, the Viper Ultimate meets my expectations. Synapse isn't for everyone, but if you don't have it installed, you won't be able to control the RGB, which will default to Razer Green. I liked how it was on sale for Prime Day, how I could get it in white, how light it is, and how wireless it is. There was nothing more I could ask for!.

The first thing that struck me as surprising was how light this device is. The grip is pleasant to the touch (I have small hands), and the RGB is pleasing to the eye - Not overdone, the tracking is incredibly precise, and you'll notice a difference if you were previously using something less expensive. My ONLY complaint is that when I'm moving quickly, I accidentally press the right side buttons, but this can be fixed by disabling their functions in chroma-key. It's not a big deal for me because I'm right-handed. Although I did not experience the spongey clicks mentioned by others, the bottom of the mouse will dig into a soft mousepad if you press down too hard on it. Which, in any case, you shouldn't be doing. 9. br>br> 5/10.
