Questions & Answers

Is the mousemat prone to warping like the others?

After a few months, mine began to warp. It had not been moved in any way. It rendered it useless, so this mouse pad may still pose a problem.

What distinguishes this from the first Firefly?

The wiring is in a different location so it doesn't get in the way. As a result, the lighting is much brighter and more exposed.

Can I use it to control the lights on my Series X?

If you're referring to the Xbox S/X, the answer is no. The app must be installed on your computer. If you don't have the app, it will light up in a random color.

Is it possible to have one custom color on the left side and a different one on the right? Is it possible to customize it and have it sync with a Razer Keyboard?

If you want your keypad and mouse to emulate each other, you'll need to download the razer synapse software to sync all of your devices.

It's well worth the money! (This is Firefly V2, not Firefly V1)
5/5

This mousepad is a personal favorite of mine. If you read the reviews, you'll notice that the majority of the negative feedback was directed at Version 1. Version 2 has a lot of new features. It's a pity that so many of the best-known brands aren't available in the United States. V1 is the subject of the reviews listed. br>br>The lighting is fantastic, and it goes perfectly with my Huntsman Elite keyboard and Basilisk mouse. I should point out that I'm a business executive, not a gamer, but I learned a long time ago that gaming hardware is far superior to the garbage sold for business purposes. br>br>As previously stated, you are primarily paying for the cool lighting, but aside from that, this is an excellent mousepad. Today's optical mice (mice?) benefit from the lightly textured hard plastic surface. The soft- Mousepads in the pad style were created for the older (long-handled) mice. gone) a roller ball-wielding mouse Yes, I am aware. Some of you were not even alive at the time. This hard plastic design is ideal for precise mouse movement. It's far superior to a desk surface. It appeals to me.

It's an arbg mousepad with edgelighting
5/5

This is not a mousepad that anyone requires. It works just like any other good quality mousepad and has a decent non-slip grip. However, both of these items can be found for a lower price. No, this isn't a mouse pad you buy because "you need a mouse pad. " It's a mouse pad you buy because you have a problem, and that problem is a desire for everything you own to glow in the same color scheme. You purchase this to make a statement about the ARGB monster that has taken over our keyboards, mice, and headsets. case fans, motherboards, GPUs, CPUs, AIOs, waterblocks, monitor backs, and soundbars You buy it because the RGB monster needs to be fed, because we don't know what will happen if it isn't, and that's a risk too great to take. br>br>The first one I got had some minor manufacturing flaws that allowed light to shine through the middle of the mouse pad in pinprick-sized spots, so I strongly advise inspecting for flaws upon delivery; They're noticeable in a dark room, but the RGB monster is otherwise quiet, and isn't that what matters?.

It's preferable to using a mousepad made of cloth
5/5

Since I was three years old, I've used a variety of mousepads. From the thick foam of yesteryear, esque mousepads of the past, to the newer rubber-bottomed cloth mousepads, they all degraded quickly over time and needed to be replaced. My previous mousepad, a Mionix model, did a decent job. The cloth, on the other hand, was a magnet for hair and dust, making complete removal nearly impossible. It was time for a new mousepad once more. During my research, I came across the Razer Firefly. While skimming the product page, I was convinced it was just another cloth mousepad that would need to be replaced at some point, albeit at a cost three times what I would normally pay. The LEDs around the edges were also a turn-off for me, and I almost passed it up. However, after reading a few reviews, I discovered that the "hard" version was, in fact, as follows: a plastic and rubber mousepad with a firm grip. I've tried a few different plastic mousepads over the years, and none of them worked as a mousepad. The first thing that comes to mind is a lot of tracking issues, a super-slick surface, and sharp edges. But, as usual, impulse buying got the better of me, and I grabbed one. br>br>This mousepad is so comfortable that I don't even need my wrist rest; it's a little bigger than I expected, and it hangs off the edges of the platform where I use my mouse. The harder material, on the other hand, is almost like its own little tabletop, so this is irrelevant. The only time it gives is when you apply unrealistic force, and you're unlikely to notice it in the middle of a game because it has no effect on tracking. The LEDs are actually quite nice, and they're a lot more subtle than I expected given Razer's previous trends. When it comes to the surface, this mousepad provides incredible tracking. It's a textured plastic with a similar feel to your fingertips when you rub them together. It's a match made in heaven with my current mouse, the Razer Basilisk. When you move the mouse, it makes a scratchy sound, similar to running your fingernail across a plastic bottle, but it's not really noticeable unless you listen for it. When you turn off your computer, the LEDs fade from their default color (blue in my case), to purple (possibly just me), and finally off. One of the best. br>br>.

The design is sleek, but the durability is in question
3/5

I bought this for my design workstation exactly four months ago, but due to the pandemic, I've only used it a few times. It's a great size, and the low profile appeals to me, and the lights are entertaining. However, it is not possible to customize it on a Mac. When I bought the house, I was aware of the problem. Although, to be honest, this is a software compatibility issue that has existed across the product line for some time and that Razor should have addressed long ago. For that, I'm docking a star in the hopes that they'll catch on eventually. br>br>It's also worth noting that I've already noticed a significant smoothing in the surface texture, which is a bit of a shock. Because I work full-time as a designer and spend a lot of time at my desk, I've had this problem with hard mousepads before, and it may be unavoidable with these materials. However, I had hoped that purchasing a "higher end" device would result in longer device life. Given its limited use, the Firefly may have performed even worse than the standard, non-advanced Firefly in this regard. enlightened I have never owned a gaming hard pad before. I'm not sorry I bought it because it works well with my current setup. Users should be aware, however, that they may not have an evenly textured mousepad for long.

It appeals to me
5/5

This thing is a huge improvement over the previous version; the top hub being moved to the left is so convenient that I haven't hit it with the mouse yet, whereas I used to do it all the time with the previous version. The texture is much smoother, and it's a pleasure to use a mouse on it. The LEDs are also much brighter, making it really stand out. If you liked the first film, you'll enjoy this one even more.
