I was required to install an update 3 weeks after I bought this computer, which I was told to do on my DSL took 8+ hours. Following the update I was asked to reboot, following which I was asked all the same things as if I were setting the computer for the first time. When I tried to connect my printer after the update, it would not connect, although my printer was working fine prior to the update. I contacted 2 different AppleTechs (I bought a service contract) - one for the download issue and one for I was unable to get my problem fixed. It took an entire day to complete the transaction. There will be a refund on my account from Amazon.

Since I started using Apple products, I have been devoted to them. Since my work allows me to use laptops and desktops with Windows, I have had the chance to get to know the OS. Windows desktops and laptops have also been in my possession for home use in the past, and I would never consider going back to them for In addition to my current MacBook Air, iPhone, Apple Watch, iPad, HomePods, Apple TV and now this new iMac, I also have a MacBook Pro that I use as my desk computer. This iMac features a SSD in addition to its new M1 processor, which makes this machine really fast. The migration assistance software that the iMac comes with allowed me to easily move over all of my stuff from my old iMac's I was up and running in no time with my old desktop settings and all of my Apps from my old iMac onto the new machine. Rosetta 2 translates and runs a few Apps that are still Intel CPU based. Besides the 24-inch display, I value the ease of use as well. The colors are beautiful, and the resolution is superb. reader on the keyboard is nice, but I am used to getting into my old iMac using my Apple Watch, so it wouldn't be essential.

I ordered this mainly because I needed a mac in order to develop IOS games (I'm not docking a star, but it is annoying to have to publish from a mac instead of a Personally, I enjoy the minimalist design of the mac because I'm not a fan of the Mac and don't expect to use it much I would be reluctant to buy a computer that I would use a lot if I was shopping for it. It has now shut down while turned off twice and it takes several minutes for the mouse to mount when I restart the computer. Without a mouse, it doesn't work very well.
