Questions & Answers

I use 99% isopropyl alcohol which seems to work perfectly for cleaning my chip. Is this better than the alcohol for cleaning my chip?

No, it works about the same if 100% isopropyl alcohol is present.

I have an original Xbox with a gpu that has stubborn thermal paste on it. Isopropyl alcohol 91% wouldn't work in this case. Is this going to happen?

Even if I don't use Arctic thermal paste, I use this kit to remove any brand of paste because alcohol has a drying effect and won't loosen old paste. I've done a few CPUs and it only takes a couple of drops of ArctiClean to loosen up the paste. You may need to let it soak for a minute, but I've never had to do that. To avoid runoff from the CPU lid into places where I don't want gooey paste to end up, I always wipe within a few seconds. I re-read books every now and then. Continue to treat until the paper towel is completely dry. After you've cleaned everything thoroughly, you should use the purifier, though I'm not sure what it does.

Is it possible to use it on laptop processor and graphics processor chips that aren't protected by metal pads?

This product has been tested on a variety of CPUs, ranging from desktop i7 to laptop i5. 6700K to Pentium CPUs in laptops dating back to 2007, and it works flawlessly. When it comes to computing chips, I believe it is required by default.
. br>In fact, I've seen people recommend rubbing alcohol almost everywhere on the internet, which has never worked well in my experience (at least not as well as the other options). Alcohol, on the other hand, is not even close to being as effective as this product.

I have the thermal paste that came with the CPU when I first bought it, and I need to remove it so that I can apply new thermal paste. Is it compatible with the Ryzen 7 3700x processor?

Hello,br>I'm not sure what aspect of the AMD Ryzen A7 3700X you're concerned about. However, in terms of using this product on a wide range of CPUs (from desktop i7-based to mobile i7-based), 6700K to Pentium CPUs in laptops dating back to 2007), the product performs admirably. Indeed, I find people recommending rubbing alcohol almost everywhere on the internet, which has never worked well for me (at least not as well as the other options). Alcohol, on the other hand, isn't even close to being as good as this product.br> Please keep in mind that the surface purifier will outlast the remover, especially on older laptops where the thermal paste has hardened into a solid. Because more remover will be required to break down and remove the solid, and purifier will restore the surface to its original state.

Isopropyl alcohol beats it by 99%
5/5

When it comes to removing thermal paste from the integrated heat spreader (IHS), I've always been told to use rubbing alcohol. I came across ArctiClean after doing some research and decided to buy it.

- To begin, remove the majority of the thermal paste with 99% isopropyl alcohol wipes.
- Second, use kit 1 to get rid of any leftover thermal paste. It has a citrus scent and is slightly oily.
- 3rd, remove any leftover oils with another 99% isopropyl alcohol wipe from kit 1.
- 4th, wipe away any dried-up isopropyl alcohol with the soft cloth that came with it.
- 5th, apply kit 2 purifier to the integrated heat spreader and spread it out evenly.
- 6th, wipe the purifier from kit 2 with a soft cloth.
- Apply your new thermal paste in the seventh and final step, and you're done! br>br>The thermal paste adheres to the built-in heat spreader and does not move. The product is fantastic!.

For cleaning up TIM, this is far superior to alcohol
5/5

I've been building PCs for more than 20 years, and I've always cleaned thermal paste from my heatsinks and CPUs with rubbing alcohol or denatured alcohol. Arctic Clean outperforms all other alcohol solvents I've used. br>br>All you have to do is squirt a few drops of solvent onto the grease and wait a minute. It dissolves the grease completely and wipes it away with ease. There was absolutely no smearing. br>br>Once the old paste has been removed, apply a few drops of the purifier and wipe it clean. The purifier is similar to rubbing alcohol but thicker. After application, it dries quickly and does not run all over the place. br>br>I'm sorry it took me so long to try this; if you're going to be cleaning up thermal paste, it's well worth the money.

I've never had a better experience with a product
5/5

I use this to remove thermal paste, but I've also seen it remove other similar materials such as pipe dope, which is an odd ai. ilar mixture It contains ground metals suspended in some sort of paste that are impossible to remove, so I figured this might work, and it did. This ate right through pipe dope because there is no product that can remove it. I also used it to get rid of the crappy Nvidia Thermalpads that come with the 3080 Fe cards. Thermalpads that are more akin to styrofoam than actual Thermalpads! That garbage was devoured as well. It contains a very potent amulet! Based on the smell, I'm guessing nitric acid!.

This is a fantastic system
5/5

I've been cleaning thermal paste with 90% alcohol and a paper coffee filter or microfiber method for years and it has worked fine. I'd heard about Arcticlean for years but never% As a result, I decided to give it a go. Citrus is unmistakably present in the compound remover. based on the fact that it works. It's better than alcohol, and only a few drops are required. The "purifier" appears to be nothing more than a household APC that has been diluted. I'm not sure what it does, but I'm guessing it just cleans up any leftover compound remover residue. Overall, I'm impressed, and I'll be using this product again in the future. The initial supply should last the PC hobbyist for quite some time, despite the fact that the bottles are small and you don't use much of either when cleaning thermal paste off of a CPU.

It works better than anything else I've tried
5/5

This is the best thermal paste remover you can find, and yes it works significantly better than 91% or higher isopropyl alcohol can be found. The first liquid is a powerful emulsifier that easily dissolves even the toughest thermal pastes. I've used it on ridiculously thick factory applications that were over 5 years old, and it cut through the pastes with ease, making them both dry and sticky. I had to apply two applications to one cooling plate because the factory applied an unreasonably large amount. br>The second bottle contains a cleaning liquid that removes the residue from the emulsifying liquid from your components in a simple but effective manner. Both have a pleasant aroma, particularly the citrus scent from the first bottle. Neither liquid should be allowed to come into contact with your skin. If nothing else, they'll make your fingers extremely dry.

So far, things have been going well
4/5

This stuff gets the job done when it comes to breaking down thermal paste for removal. Before wiping away the first liquid, I had to let it soak for a few minutes. It took a couple of tries to get all of the parts completely clean. Cotton swaps/pads, microfiber cloth, and q-tips are some of the products I use. tips. br>br>There was liquid metal on my cpu/gpu, despite the fact that I ordered a standard thermal paste rather than liquid metal when ordering. Despite this, I was unable to completely remove the liquid metal from the surface. It felt smooth by the end, but there was still a stain. Just in case I made a mistake, I'll try again. br>br>The second bottle did an excellent job of polishing my CPU and GPU. Even with the stained parts, the computer still had a nice shine. br>br>I'll update if I can get better results after I clean it again. I'll also experiment with isopropyl to see if there's a quality difference.

Does exactly what it says on the box
5/5

I never use a paste if I don't have it. This was used to clean a heatsink in preparation for installing it on a new processor. It's simple to clean and has never caused any damage to anything I've used it on.

Does better than 70% isopropyl alcohol does better than 70% isopropyl alcohol does better than 70% isopropyl It has a faint odor of Goo Gone. I wish the bottles were a little bigger, but I don't use it very often, and the liquid in the bottles evaporates after a few years. br>br>I've been using it for years and it consistently delivers on its promises.

My computer was filthy to the point of being unusable
5/5

When it comes to cleaning your computer's fan, canned air isn't always enough, especially if you haven't done so in a while. Mine was seriously "gunked" up, and spraying it with canned air would have done nothing. I read some reviews about how to clean your fan, and ArctiClean 60ml Kit 1 was mentioned as one of the products mentioned. 2 Grease Paste Compound Remover and Purifier for Thermal Grease Paste Check out the black stuff it got rid of on the Qtips to see how well it worked.
