Isn't this supposed to be formatted already? Because I don't have access to a computer, I'd like to inquire. What's the point of selecting it for PS4 or Xbox in the purchase menu if you can't play it on both platforms?

I'm not sure what you mean when you say "format." I don't have access to the internet because I don't have access to a computer. I just plugged it into my PS4 and that was it. What is the location of the charging station? Then it goes to the drive with all of the downloaded games and updates.

Is it possible to save files from my Mac on this and then transfer them to my Windows PC?

Yes, I do it on a regular basis.

According to the specifications, this drive is compatible with the PlayStation 4. That is not the case. It's not going to work. Very let down. The drive is mine to keep, but it will not be used with my PS4!.

I bought a 1TB USB hard drive to use with my PlayStation 5. I'll be honest, I was a little skeptical after reading some reviews that claimed it didn't work with PS4/5 systems, but I decided to take a chance because the TB was only 49 dollars. I had a mini heart attack when I plugged it in and the PS5 said it "wasn't supported," but I was just a little ahead of myself, and once I went to the Storage settings, I was able to format it without issue and use it for my games without issue. I'll provide an update if anything changes or develops, but so far, this hard drive has performed admirably and appears to be the best value for money on the market for extended storage.

Doesn't work well on a Mac

It won't work as a network drive, and it's a pain to use with Time Machine because it keeps giving me the "disk not ejected" message. It was sold for a65 million dollars. It should have come first, a Mac-specific drive. I'll let you know how it works on a Mac.

This external hard drive appeals to me, and I appreciate it

The PS4 compatibility of this external drive was advertised. It states that it can support three people. 2 USB. The PS4 seemed to think the drive didn't meet all of the requirements for use, which surprised me. I was able to get the PS4 to format, but it would not accept the drive as a storage device. I connected the drive to my laptop, formatted it, and then reconnected it to the PS4 - It's now working, though moving 6 games from internal storage to this new external drive is taking 30 minutes. br>I also like how rugged this drive is - There is a rubber strip around the edges of the container.

After two months, I had to stop working! This isn't something you should buy! Hundreds of gigabytes of data were lost as a result of this piece of garbage

It took hours to export onto it, and now when I open it for the first time, all of the files are missing. Furthermore, I am unable to copy any files to it at this time! What the hell is going on here? This company and its device are not to be trusted.

It's probably a fantastic device, but any game I load on it crashes or disconnects frequently. No issues when I reinstalled the game on my PS4. As a result, I can't say I'm certain.

Is this for real? You say the product is compatible with PS4 and Xbox One, but it doesn't even come with a USB that works with those devices? A USB 3. If you're curious, the answer is 0 or higher. Because it's obviously not formatted for Xbox One, I ordered this to have more space for games. Instead, I got space for pictures, music, and video. Not to mention the fact that I needed to order a USB 3. 0 cable. They couldn't even send me a cord that works with the platform, so I had to buy two cables just to use it. This isn't something you should buy.

I've finally gotten to the point where I don't have to delete anything from my PS4. It really works. Right out of the box, it's quick and simple to set up. Connect it, then set up storage, transfer your data, and you're done.
