Getting a size smaller or dealing with the extra bagginess would be a good option, as it runs a bit large.
The brand of lab coat I bought around three years ago is still available, though I only purchased another because my first lab coat smelled strongly of gross anatomy class (the fault of the lab coat, not the coat itself). The lab coat was otherwise in perfect condition, so I wouldn't have needed to repurchase it even if the smell had appeared. A strong scent of formaldehyde just doesn't go well with my taste. It was a good fit for a size small. The weight of my body is 150 pounds and I am 5'8" tall.
I very much enjoyed it for its price. However, it is too small for my tastes. The coat is typically a 2x and I bought a 3x after reading the reviews, but I couldn't button it.
As I worried about the sizing of this lab coat, I looked at the other reviews so I could get a better feel of how I would fit. In the same way that I was helped, I hope someone else will gain benefit from this review. The top is loose enough to let me do everything I need to while wearing it, and it's tight enough not to make me look like a little kid on.
My first impression is that my order arrived one day after placing it! Then I expected to receive them Monday. It is Sunday morning and I just put it on! My chemistry and microbiology courses are on Tuesdays, so I expected to receive them Monday. Since I'm a 6'0 female, it fits perfectly, especially considering I went for the same size I normally go for. My lab coat is comfortable and even flattering, which is strange for a lab coat, but it really works for There must be an ironing board, but it's just a shipping inconvenience. It's a good product, I'm happy with it.
The lab coat I received was of much higher quality than I had expected. This shirt fits well for my body type, and I feel like an actual chemist when I wear it (I work in a laboratory). There would only be one thing better -- slits to access the pockets in my pants. The lab coat I own is great, aside from that. The product was a great value for the price, and I would definitely purchase it again (if/when this one wears out, which is not likely to happen.
I'd say that this isn't of as high quality as high-end items, but I feel that it's still good quality for the price. This textbook will be used in my chemistry and microbiology labs at school.
