They are good for a mildly cold day with no wind, but they are not suitable for standard cold climates with driving winds. Despite the fact that it was oversized, the material was not suitable to the conditions in New England. They were returned so that I could purchase something with greater.
In the last few days, we experienced the coldest weather in many years with temperatures reaching -45°F The wind chill is -17 degrees with 17 degrees with wind chill I almost forgot the mittens were on, because the temperature was over 40 degrees! There was a review on another site that said "I just received the mittens. I am very disappointed. They do not appear to be very warm. Please do not look at mittens to determine if they are warm, rather USE the mittens to decide!.
The sizing is said to run small (as well as most reviews), but mine does not appear to be so. There are only 80-100 threads in the wool A very thin wool makes up about 85% of the fabric. In addition to the sherpa lining, the goatskin is also thin. Taking these factors into account, they add up to a glove of questionable build quality and low profit margin (I'll probably return them). However, they can be good suit.

Furthermore, the leather palm does not have a slippery feel, so they are easy to drive in. It is easy for me to push every button. As long as the cuffs are long, they will fit under my coat sleeves and keep out are probably cheaper mitts out there that function similarly, but these work well and look good at the same time.
They ought to sell them with flaps around the palms for hunting like LL Bean used to. If I were younger, I would purchase it again, but at my age I hope they will.
It looks nice, and it's not too heavy, although it doesn't seem to be as warm. The pants will not keep you warm in the single digits, but at those temperatures I'd wear them anyway. However, we found that the leather finish was beginning to wear after a few snow shoveling duties.
A tough and warm pair of They are well constructed and light, so they are sure to be a favorite for a long time. The palms of goats are flexible and their wool is beautiful. They have proved to be hot and tough for me, so I highly recommend them.
