Questions & Answers

Cotton shirts with a hefty price tag?

Yes. These are suitable for evening wear. They're great for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

What exactly does it mean to "stay tucked"? Does this mean you have to tuck your pants in because they are longer than usual? I'm looking for a plain shirt that doesn't require tucking into my pants. ?

Unfortunately, they do not specify the length of the shirt from the neck to the bottom.br>Try the new stay-dry shirt. This undershirt has been completely reimagined with the perfect length to stay tucked all day so you can go about your busy day with confidence. This tagless tee is made from our new Eversoft fabric, which is made of our softest cotton yet and is a brighter white that lasts wash after wash. This crew's redesigned collar lays flat and retains its shape after washing. The sleeves have also been reshaped to improve the overall fit and prevent unsightly peeking from beneath your shirt.

Is there a seam on the side of the garment?

There are no side seams, so it's super comfy.

Is it possible to maintain the shape of the neck? A previous purchase had a horrible neck collar that curled! ?

I'm sorry, but it doesn't keep its shape after a few washes unless you have exceptional wash and dry skills and ironing skills. They aren't cute in the least. However, it appears as if you're wearing a cloud!

Warning - anti-microbial properties embedded nanosilver particles as a microbial additive After doing a lot of research, I was really excited to order these shirts, but when they arrived in the mail, I was very disappointed
3/5

br>br>My main concern is with their "Dual Defense" additives, specifically IntelliFresh, which is a brand name for DuPont's SILVADUR embedded nanosilver particles. Because this isn't mentioned *AT ALL* in Amazon's product description or photos, I figured it was worth writing a review to let others know. I've attached photos of the packaging to demonstrate what I'm talking about. What is it about nanosilver that makes it so bad? Isn't it true that odor has a negative connotation? Is moisture-wicking technology a good thing when it comes to fighting? br>br>I used to believe that, but I no longer do. I encourage you to conduct your own research, but the most recent information suggests that antimicrobials should be avoided entirely because they offer no net benefit to humans and many of them are suspected endocrine disruptors. Nanosilver is a relatively new and underappreciated material. In comparison to traditional silver, it has been researched, but it can pass the blood test. If ingested, it can cross the blood-brain barrier and disrupt the healthy bacteria in your gut. Furthermore, silver is extremely toxic to marine life (second only to mercury), and when these particles wash out of your clothes in the washing machine, they will eventually end up in the ocean/rivers, or in wastewater treatment plant sludge, which is often used as fertilizer on land. Ecosystems could be severely harmed as a result of this. br>br>If you want to learn more, look up the "six classes of chemicals" website and then scroll down to the Antimicrobials section. The Resources section at the bottom of the page contains links to a wealth of information, such as:
- "Silver Nanotechnology and the Environment: A Review" is a paper that examines the relationship between silver nanotechnology and Pew Project on Emerging Nanotechnologies report, "Old Problems or New Challenges," 2008br>- "Some antibacterials have a potentially dangerous silver lining. "Chicago Tribune, February 16, 2014br>- "Germ- clothing that is resistant to wear: Should you take a chance or not? " ABC News, 3/11/2012br>br>I have no affiliation with that website; a coworker recently shared it with me, prompting me to do more independent research. br>br>Because I did not open the package and immediately returned the undershirts to Amazon, I cannot comment on their fit or durability. I'm sure they'd be great shirts if it weren't for the nanosilver, which only adds to the disappointment. If you're reading this, Fruit of the Loom, please make these shirts in plain old cotton (no additives)! That is something for which I would gladly pay.

The hair stayed soft, and the extra length is a plus
5/5

So far, I've been a big fan of these shirts. There are a few things you should be aware of:

- Because they are longer, they are referred to as "Stay Tucked. " Quite a bit. I'm comparing these to a Hanes ComfortFit shirt in the photo, and the size difference is quite noticeable.
- They've stayed pretty soft for the past 2/3 months that I've been wearing them!
- The sleeve length is a little on the short side. If you wear a lot of polos, this is crucial because you don't want your undershirt's sleeve to show. With any of my polos, this has never been an issue. (Sleeve size can be found in photo) br>br>Overall, I like these a lot. I wasn't sure about the extra length at first, but it really helps my undershirt stay tucked and not bunch around my waistband, which has been a problem with other undershirts I've tried.

For the money, these are good undershirts
5/5

I am a senior citizen. a middle school Every day at work, I wear a white t-shirt underneath my dress shirts. I'm usually between the sizes of a medium and a large, sort of in the middle. I usually buy size medium undershirts so that they will fit under my dress shirts (larges are usually too baggy in the middle for me). However, I've recently noticed that some brands' size medium undershirts are a little too snug and small for my liking. I chose these Fruit of the Loom ones after reading reviews that said they ran a little big for their size; while they appear to be standard in the chest and shoulders for a size medium, I find they run longer than other brands. This is beneficial to me because they do stay tucked in, whereas some competitor brand ones do not. These undershirts have a little give to them, so they don't feel too confining. If you're looking for a basic white t-shirt to wear under a dress shirt or polo and are in between sizes, this could be a good option.

These Things Shrink - a LOT
4/5

Pros:
- Very affordable - The cost is more than reasonable for what you getbr>- From what I can tell, the quality is good (no scratchy or loose strings)br>- Cons: Extra length to keep them tuckedbr>br>
- After the first wash, they shrink by a ridiculous amount. br>- The more you wash them, the less comfortable they become, regardless of how expensive your detergent/fabric softener is. br>- They're extremely thinbr>br>There's not much more to say about this. They're just regular shirts with an extra-long sleeve to keep them tucked in under a dress shirt, and they're very functional - I've even purchased a second package because they do exactly what they're supposed to do and do it well. The only issue I have with them is that they shrink significantly after just one wash. But I suppose that's where the extra length helps - There would be a problem if any other shirt shrank as much as this. br>br>Every day at work, I wear a button-up shirt, and these shirts have never let me down. I despise wearing any other white shirt underneath my button-ups. They tend to rise too high and bunch up around the waist - It does not present a positive image. br>br>At the end of the day - They do fit as expected, as I stated earlier. They fit as they should when brand new, in my opinion. But, if I were you, I'd - I'd recommend going up a size and washing them as soon as you get them; you'll have a better experience that way. Overall, they're quite thin, so I'd be a little self-conscious about wearing them by themselves - What more could you ask for in an undershirt? Sure, it's nice to have good quality, but who cares if it's going under your shirt? You'll thank me later if you spent the extra money on a better shirt to wear over it.
