I've run in the GT 2007, 2008, 2009, and Brooks Adrenaline, and I've found that the GT2008 and GT2009 are better for overpronation than the Brooks Adrenaline.
Scheel's is exempt from paying Amazon or covering shipping costs ($10-$20). It will cost you $15 to have these delivered to your home. It's easy to see how a physical store that doesn't pay a commission to a website or outbound shipping (where you physically go) could sell these for less.
There was a small return fee that wasn't mentioned in the description when returning this item. Returning well ahead of schedule and fully charged.
Mine have a black tongue with a bright red trim, not blood red, but more red than orange.

The newest addition to the line is the 2000 line. the GT- Running Shoe - 2000 8 - Although it is lighter and more flexible than its immediate predecessors, it still provides good lateral support and a comfortable step. It's a very attractive shoe as well. I purchased mine in Grand Shark/Black and have received numerous compliments on how stylish they are. This was a good buy.
2000 5 was a great pair of shoes. I ordered the GT- because the previous generation was no longer available. They were expected to be even better in the year 2000, and they were. They're too hot to put on. In comparison to the previous design, the heal has been shortened and lacks structure. While the previous design seemed to mold to my foot, the new design slips around uncontrollably! I'll have to find another pair of shoes to wear.
I have some unique specifications (size, for example). Asics are my go-to shoes for pronation support. Customer service was extremely helpful in identifying the most appropriate models for my PowerWalk requirements - a necessary component of a rehabilitation program Every time I buy a pair of shoes (this time the GT 2000), I buy two. Kayano) on a daily basis, and vice versa.
This pair of shoes is fantastic. These are some of the best gym shoes I've found, and they make me feel like I'm running on a cloud. I was going to buy some brooks, but I'm extremely happy with this product. I work out in the gym 3 to 4 hours every day except Sundays, and my work outs are intense, and the only time I rest is when I'm moving from one set to the next, and these shoes keep up no matter if I'm running, walking, or strength training.
I've always used and had success with the Nike Structure Zoom since I started running regularly over a decade ago. Last year, towards the end of the year, I decided to try a different brand to see if I could find something even better. After reading several articles about support shoes, I decided to go with the GT- 2000 I found these shoes on Amazon and fell in love with their design. They appear to be very sharp, in my opinion. I got a couple of blisters when I first started running in them, but the support was fantastic. They never quite fit as well as my Nikes, but the blisters faded away over time. Overall, these shoes provide excellent stability. However, I have returned to Nike. The ASICS only seem to last about 100 to 200 miles before they start to wear out and cause me leg aches and pains. I usually get around 400 miles out of the Nike Structure before I start to feel achy. I'm a big guy, 5'11" and 200 pounds, and I run in the 8- to 9-minute range on a regular basis. As a result, someone who is lighter or who does not run as fast may get more mileage from the ASICS. They're good shoes for me, but the Nikes still fit and feel better, and they're a better value because they last so much longer.
I had to replace 2170 Gel runners because they were worn out. These were without a doubt the best pair of running shoes I've ever owned. As a result, I swapped them out for a set of GT-X. 8 runners in the year 2000. I'd give the GT-1000 a ten on a scale of one to ten (with ten being the best). As a 9, in the year 2000. This is an excellent shoe. The width of the heel and the tighter mess composition are the only flaws in the new shoes. I realize this is minor nitpicking.
It's very relaxing. I've been wearing ASICS for over a decade, mostly the gel kayanos, and these GT2000s are fantastic. I ordered two more pairs in a different color because they are so good. Because the tops where my toes are are much thicker instead of a super thin layer, these appear to be more durable than the previous ASICS. The foot area is a little wider, so my toes don't feel as squished, which should help relieve the side pains I've been experiencing from weeks of daily treadmill workouts. The fit was also perfect. After these three pairs, I'm going to try for the Gt2000- When there is a sale, the 9 or 10 series are used.
BUYING THESE ON AMAZON IS A BAD IDEA. I'm not a runner, so I don't wear them. Because of my back, I have to wear them indoors at work. As you can see, they're in EXCELLENT condition after two months, but notice how the nodules/knobs on the outside and the rear on the bottom have both coned off. Because I purchased my ASICS on Amazon, I am unable to return them. br>So now I have a $100 pair of tennis shoes that are in excellent condition except for the rubber Nigel's on both shoes coming off in the same spot.
