Questions & Answers

I'm only allowed to check one bag with a maximum length of 62 linear inches. Is it possible that this bag is too large?

When you check in, they usually measure your weight but not your dimensions. The 62-inch requirement, according to frequent domestic and international travelers, is not strictly enforced. If you're under the weight limit, 1 or 2 pounds over is usually fine.

What is the maximum reach of the handle?

42" above the suitcase, 5" above the suitcase 5 inches off the ground

Is plenum better than polycarbonate in terms of durability?

Mine has only been on two international trips and is still in perfect condition.

The first trip was a bust! I really wanted to rate this suitcase as a five-star product
3/5

I'm a sucker for the challenging aspects of life. It opens up like a soft-sided suitcase, which I find very appealing. I'm a big fan of blue. I adore the way the wheels glide across the airport floors with such ease! It was the ideal luggage for our family vacations. We purchased two and they accommodated our entire family of four. Yes, this suitcase was perfect in every way! Until the next time we travel together. The top handle would not extend after our return flight. br>br> We attempted several times but ultimately decided to return it to the car and figure it out when we returned home. The suitcase appears to be in good condition, and there is no obvious reason why it will not expand. We thought to ourselves, "Thank goodness for the ten-year warranty!" Well, I suppose it's convenient if you live in a city with a Delsey repair shop. We, on the other hand, don't share this viewpoint. So, yes, they will repair it at no cost to you - AFTER YOU HAVE PAID FOR IT TO BE SHIPPED TO THE REPAIR WORKSHOP. Worse still? What if they say it's not covered? The suitcase is being held hostage by people at a store a few hundred miles away, and we must pay to have it repaired and shipped back to us. Hmmmm. To be honest, this isn't my idea of awesome. While a ten-year warranty sounds great, I recommend first checking their repair locations to see if one is near you. If so, the suitcase is a must-have. For being so close to a repair shop, I give it 5 stars! If you don't live near one of their stores, be aware that using their 10-year warranty will be a hassle.

The quality of the newer version isn't any better
3/5

On the first use, the fabric of the zipper was torn by the airline. The bag's zipper, lock mechanism, and internal compartment were all of lower quality than the previous version.

The design is fantastic
5/5

This Delsey doesn't appear to be as tough as a Samsonite, but I've only had it for a few days, so we'll see how it holds up. It's the only "top loading" hard side I could find, so I bought it. That is to say, the Delsey Cruise Lite opens like soft sided luggage, whereas all other hard side luggage opens in the middle. It's better suited to the way I pack, which is to fill the luggage to the brim and close the lid, rather than splitting the load 50/50 and then trying to close the luggage without spilling its contents. I also have the Cruise Lite in the 25" size, which I prefer to my Samsonite of similar size simply because it is easier to load.

It's like having the best of both worlds in one package! I was finally able to get rid of my old carry-on luggage
5/5

I liked how hardsided it was, but I didn't like how much room it took up when it was open. This is the best of both worlds in one package. Because of the configuration, it is unlikely to be as sturdy as other hardsided suitcases. There's definitely some flex, and I can see how the zipper, which runs over an edge, could be a weak point. I'm not planning on checking this bag, so I'm hoping it won't be an issue. br>br>It holds a lot, closes easily, and has nice organizer pockets; I also like the wheels! My old suitcase had been around for at least ten years (and was of a different brand - Brookstone) and I had no idea how far they'd come in terms of wheel development. On carpet, I usually had to drag my old spinner suitcase behind me, tipped over like a 2-year-old child. suitcase with wheels; The friction was too great for it to stay upright next to me. I was able to keep this one upright next to me while rushing across the airport carpet, even though it was just as full as the other. It's just big enough to fit in the overhead compartment of an old Southwest Airlines plane. br>br> When I first went up there, I was almost panicked, but everything went smoothly. br>br>Up to this point, I've only taken one trip. After I've used it for a while, I'll post an update.

With one minor flaw, this is a great continuation
4/5

a model from the past According to my research, this is the only semi-hard carry-on with an 80-minute rating. 20 compartments, which is a must-have for me so that I can open the bag in tight spaces without having to lay the bag flat on both sides. Unfortunately, in comparison to the previous model, the size of the two zipper compartments on the lid side of the bag has been significantly reduced for no apparent reason. There was space below AND above the zipper (that is the zipper enclosed the compartments from about 70% of the way up before there was space below AND above the zipper enclosed Now that the zipper is so close to the bag's actual lining, it can't be "overstuffed," if you will. I'm not sure why they did it, and I can't think of a good reason. Aside from that, it's a fantastic piece of luggage.

The most convenient location
4/5

The top opening was the sole reason I purchased it. I've never understood why most suitcases are divided in half. I first saw one like this in a Japanese airport (they have the best suitcases) and have been on the lookout for one ever since. I'm overjoyed that it's now available on Amazon. It loses a star because it does not appear to be very long-lasting. The walls are flimsy and thin. But, hey, you get what you pay for, right? This type of suitcase is typically more expensive.

This is fantastic! I purchased the carry-on size and am very pleased with it
5/5

It's a lovely piece of luggage with plenty of storage space on the inside. Inside there are small pockets, the wheels are in excellent condition, and lockers are included! My purchase was a success!.

It was disappointing
3/5

Why is this so? Because the locking mechanism was defective and returning it to the seller was too costly, I gave this item a one-star rating.
