This is an excellent choice for little ones who are looking for independence. I got these for my kids who are 3 and 4 years old It's still a favorite of ours. We got 5 last Christmas and immediately had some extremely happy kids. Since then, we have waited for a few trips to review so we could see how they hold up. It's true that the backpacks are quite small (my 2 yr old could easily wear one and I've got a feeling my soon to be 6 yr old will be too old in a year or two), but the luggage is perfect for carry-on. For kids, the tote is a good size and has several days' worth of clothes, spare shoes, a favorite book and stuffed animal, and still has room for comfort items. can usually fit all the clothes in the zippered section, as well as leave room for shoes and extras on the other half.
