Questions & Answers
I'd say yes, despite the fact that I've never had to do so before. The material used to make the bag is sufficiently adaptable. Okay, since you asked, I just finished it, and it folds down to 12" x "12 Length/Width by 3" Thickness. I hope this information is useful.
It is regarded as carry-on luggage.
Zippers are not marked with the YKK logo.
Yes, the zipper runs the length of the front of the bag, but it does not zip from side to side, so you can only open a slit in the center and not fully fold the bag back (as with a flap). This irritates me quite a bit. I would seriously consider that feature if you plan to use the bag on a regular basis.

It came highly recommended, and after traveling with it for a weekend, I can tell you this:
- It's a PAIN to load your clothes into this bag because it only has one zipper in the middle.
- Although the provided pleated pockets are shown to hold shoes, I believe they are too small for men's size 11 shoes.
- Although the material is durable, it has a tendency to lose its shape and wrinkle your clothes while in transit.
- Many others expressed their satisfaction with being able to load a large amount of clothing into this bag. If I didn't want to iron everything again, I wouldn't do it.
- I like the hanger clamp, but I think it should be optional if the hangers could be secured in the bag itself. br>br>I'd still buy this (or a less expensive model) again because:
- I rarely travel in a suit or other formal attire.
- Not the cheapest bag, but one that will do the job.
- I like pockets, but I'm not going to put my shoes in them.
- Because I am cheap, I can afford to take my time and be frustrated with the bag. br>br>A better bag (even from this brand) will get you the following:
- A practical zipper that zips up and down as well as left and right. This bag is essentially a zippered slit into which you must stuff your clothes. If you're going to use a garment bag even a couple of times, this is a must-have. I'm not sure why a zipper isn't included in even the most basic models.
- Pockets that are bigger. If you're going to carry shoes in the bag, it's a must.
- A more robust design that will prevent the edge from collapsing during transportation.
- Handles and clips are better, and there is a shoulder strap (which is not included with this bag).
This is a good, sturdy bag that can hold enough dress clothes for almost any business or vacation trip. My wife and I recently went on a cruise, and this garment bag held my suit, a couple of dress shirts, and a couple of my wife's dresses, as well as our dress shoes and everything else we needed to complete our formal nights on the ship. By design, the hooks of our thick plastic hangers protruded from the top of the bag when it was all fastened up and ready to be loaded into the airplane cargo hold. I'm guessing the hangers got caught on just about everything they could while being loaded and unloaded. Most of the hooks on the plastic hangers had snapped off by the time I saw the garment bag in our stateroom, which had been loaded from the plane and then again while being loaded onto the ship. I don't want to put anyone off buying this garment bag by saying this. This is an excellent garment bag. It's just that using thicker hangers with this bag will save you a lot of time and aggravation. This garment bag is made of sturdy materials: Sturdy zippers and fabric that won't rip open if it brushes up against or drags along sharp objects (you'd have to purposefully try to cut through the fabric with a knife). It also appears to be attractive. This garment bag should not be a problem for the most discerning travelers to be seen with. Anyway, that concludes my Wallybags 52" garment bag review. I hope this information is useful in deciding on a garment bag.
The quality of this bag appears to be adequate. It was a waste of money because I only used it for one business trip and will not be using it again. My issue is with this type of product as a whole. In comparison to a carry-on suitcase with wheels, this thing was a pain to drag through the airport. In comparison to when I fold my clothes into my suitcase, my clothes were just as wrinkled after using this bag. I just don't see why you'd choose this as your one free carry-on bag for flying instead of a carryon-sized suitcase. The suitcase has wheels, making it much easier to transport and allowing for a greater amount of clothing and accessories to be stored. I'm not going to use it any longer. Please let me know if there is anything I'm missing about this bag's advantages.
This is, in fact, a better option in my opinion. It's very light weight; the bag is made of a tough nylon/canvas material that will hold up well during travel, but it's not so heavy that carrying it empty is a workout. The top clasp keeps your hangers in place safely and effectively. The 40" length is ideal for a man's suit set, as it prevents bunching at the bottom. Simply clasp the hangers at the top between the clasps, pull the bag around the cloths, zip it up, fold in half, and the two carrying straps will velco together for easy carrying. It has two large pockets on the side, one for your shoes and the other for other items. This is an excellent bag. It will easily fit into overhead compartments without the need for any extra folds. Even if you aren't looking for a low-cost alternative, I highly recommend it.
My husband travels by plane once a week and never checks his luggage. He doesn't have to because of this and his laptop bag. He likes the webbed handle design and "opening" for the hangers, and he likes the gusseted pocket on the front for folding his clothes. It is made of a high-quality material. We only replace them because the handles eventually wear out and come loose from the bag on one end, but they get a lot of use, so we still think they're a good deal!.
This was purchased so that I could transport my dress, my husband's suit, and a few other items to Mexico for my daughter's wedding. After two flights there and back, I was very pleased with the condition of our clothes. The clothes had few wrinkles, so a quick steaming was all that was required. When the bag was completely full, it was quite heavy. It was considered a carry-on item. We'll have to see how long it lasts.
