For easy access, the garment bag has four zipper pouches on the front of the bag. Hair accessories, tights, dance shoes, and other dance necessities can all be stored in this bag. 8 1/2"x8 1/2" is the size of each pocket. br>There are eight pockets in total, one of which is zippered. The bottom of the back of the bag measures 5"x19" and is perfect for shoes!
There is no gusset on this bag. It does, however, expand enough to accommodate a full costume or garment. Adult hangers with a diameter of 18" also work well.
Yes, there is a long zipper that runs the length of the garment from top to bottom. Then there's one long bottom outside pocket with a zipper on one side, and two smaller outside pockets on the other. 4 smaller outside zippered pockets on the opposite side (I believe the large bags have 4 and the small bags have 2, but I can't be certain). These were our go-to garment bags for competition and touring dance seasons, and they lasted a long time - We've got them still.
There is enough room for two people. There are four costumes in total. It is dependent on the amount of material used in the costumes.

A zipper fell off and the seam ripped in two places. Only one or two very small costumes could be carried in this way. It simply isn't strong enough to support a significant amount of weight. The pockets are a good size and are very useful, and I like that they are clear, but the quality is very poor. AND, OF COURSE, THE RETURN PERIOD HAS EXPIRED. After that time period has passed, Amazon should provide customers with a way to get a refund for defective products. If this is meant to be a one-time use item, it should be clearly labeled as such. People, keep looking. There must be a better option available.
I was ecstatic to receive this bag for myself because both of my children are dancers, and I purchased one for each. The bag is well-made and well-organized, with plenty of pockets. However, as others have pointed out, the quality is extremely poor. I had two outfits for my own recitals (8 in a week), and on the third day, the metal zipper broke (could not be repaired), and the zipper seam simply pulled apart from the plastic. Great bag, but I would not buy it again or recommend it to anyone.
This is a lovely bag for storing dance costumes. We're currently in our third season with them. Tights and accessories fit perfectly in the small pockets. Because this bag isn't gussetted, it's not suitable for puffy outfits. With the exception of ballet, my dancer is a teen, so we've passed that stage. EDIT: br>br> We're on our fifth season with these garment bags, and they're still going strong. I have two of a different brand, and I don't care for them nearly as much.
We used them for the entire season last year (5 competitions, 4 shows, and nationals week) and have already used them twice this year. They work flawlessly, keep everything in order, and are extremely long-lasting. I'm surprised to see several reviews claiming that these are of poor quality, because mine are thick, work well, and have withstood my daughter's abuse admirably. (If you have a competitive dancer, you'll understand what I'm talking about. ) They put a lot of pressure on these things! ) I recently purchased another to accommodate a different costume, and it is of the same high quality as the others. I strongly suggest it!.
It's ideal for this purpose, especially with the front pockets for hair ties, wig brushes, and other small items, but I'm not sure it'll hold up to a lot of use. and-tear because the plastic appears to be a little thin, but the bag I received was of good quality for the price, and it will simply hang in my closet - As a result, it works well for me!.
These things saved my life! I bought a bunch for my daughter's various dance costumes, and I love all the pockets for accessories and the index card slot for identifying the dance number and song for each one. The index card opening is on the inside, making it more difficult to lose when you're flinging these bags around and only have 5 minutes to change numbers.
Since my daughter competes in dance, I've had to go through a lot of garment bags. I've purchased a total of 12 of these and am extremely pleased with them. They've held up well to repeated use, and the different compartments for accessories and shoes are fantastic. It's also convenient that they're clear, so I can quickly select the appropriate costume without having to search through each bag. I would recommend these and will most likely purchase more - I just wish they offered multiple bags at a slight discount because it adds up quickly when you buy a lot of them.
These were purchased in pairs. One was in good condition, while the other was severely damaged. One pocket had thread holes but no thread to keep it sewn down. In addition, the plastic on the pocket below that had a large rip in it. I ended up hand-sewing one pocket and "fixing" the hole with packing tape. I'd never buy these again if they were $16 each. These garment bags are of poor quality for the price, and they will not last long.
