My daughter will love these socks. I went with a size 9- My 8-year-old gives it a 5 (double gold toe). She is a size 1 in clothing. 5 - 2 pairs of shoes, both of which are a perfect fit. Excellent workmanship.
My daughter has high standards for her socks, and they must be smooth on the inside with no loose or hanging threads. I'm very happy with my purchase, and I'll make another one.
I bought these socks for my four-year-old daughter, who wears a size nine, thinking they were for her because they were Gold Toe Girls, but they are clearly women's socks. They are a perfect fit for me, and I am a size 8. I'm guessing I got a new pair of socks. Despite the sizing, they're extremely comfortable and attractive.

She adores the vibrant colors and couldn't wait for me to wash them so she could put them on right away. So far, they appear to be durable and washable.
These are fantastic summer socks, and the girls rave about how comfortable they are. The cotton isn't too thin, but it's the perfect thickness. Two sizes were purchased; The gold rings around the toes indicate which drawer they should go in!.
Also, this item is not true to size! Although the socks are comfortable, I purchased them for my daughter, who is allergic to seams. Regrettably, the description is incorrect; there are definitely seams. They are visible and palpable. They were mine to keep. Finding seamless socks is proving to be a challenge for me.
My daughter liked them at first, but they shrank so much after a few washes that she now complains about them being too tight and uncomfortable every day. We got two packs of size large for her because she's eight years old and on the smaller side. Now that I am unable to return them, I must dispose of them and replace them with new socks. When they shrink to the point where kids can't put them on comfortably, the ankle no show concept is useless.
As a result, this Momma ended up with some fantastic socks! Comfortable and stretchy fabric.
