This is supposed to be sterling silver, but the card in the box says not to get wet, not to sweat while wearing it, and other things. How can sterling silver not get wet? I'm not sure what kind of material this is, but it's definitely fake. br>If you want a cheap necklace that won't last long, this is the gift for you; however, if you want a genuine sterling silver necklace that will last a long time, this is not the item for you. This was something that my adolescent son wanted for his girlfriend. It arrived quickly, looks exactly like the pictures, and came in a cute little box with a card; however, you'd have to be inches away from someone to see the letter, and despite the fact that it's advertised for both girls and women, I can't imagine a grown woman wearing this around her neck. It's extremely small! I'd buy it for a child rather than an adult.

The only changes I would make are that I had to remove the necklace from the plastic and place it on the "beautiful" necklace holder paper, and I wish the initial on the necklace was a little larger.
