This is not the Targhee for kids that is waterproof. "Waterproof" or "WP" will be included in the name of the waterproof versions.
The Targhee for Kids isn't waterproof in this version. However, we do have a version for kids called the Targhee Waterproof.
I believe that a large child's size 6 corresponds to a woman's size 7 1/2. I'm not sure about the size 7 for big children.

I saw cheaper winter shoes for my 5-year-old, but I couldn't justify paying $15 less for a shoe that would fall apart halfway through the season. My son could fit into a size 10, but I sized him up to an 11 to give him room to grow (thanks, Amazon wardrobe). I paid $41 for them because they were on sale. We've gone hiking, biking, walking in the rain, and running through the mud so far, and his feet have remained dry and warm. He also has no trouble putting them on and off. I would strongly suggest it.
These are great shoes for toddlers who want to go hiking or just play around. They're well-made and heavy-duty. duty. I wouldn't recommend the waterproof version unless you absolutely need it because it prevents the feet from breathing, resulting in sweaty feet after just 30 minutes in the shoes (we live in a hot climate). Please continue to make these KEEN! I will return as a customer.
My son is such a rough wearer of shoes that he usually wears a hole in the top of them within three wears. 4 weeks. I had to stop buying low-cost shoes because they were causing me financial hardship in the long run. These shoes, on the other hand, have lasted a long time. He can easily put them on by himself as well. If you have a boy who is particularly rough on his shoes, it's well worth the investment.
Within a few months of wearing them, one of my boys rips the toes off all of his sneakers. The toe on these is extremely durable. I'm hoping it will last; so far, everything has gone well. They are very popular with my son, and they fit perfectly.
After only a month, it was trash! I bought these KEEN shoes for my 8-year-old for school this year because I was impressed with their durability and how well they held up last year when we had the grey and blue version. This year's are pictured, and he's only had them for a month and they're already broken. Not pleased at all! Furthermore, because we are homeschooling this year, he doesn't even have to wear them during the day! I was extremely disappointed.
We've previously purchased and enjoyed KEEN shoes for both our children and ourselves. They've proven to be tough and have outlasted our expectations in terms of wear and tear. Some of them went on for years. This was a disaster. After only three months, they were peeling and had holes. KEEN has never delivered on their promises.
Excellent footwear for rough-and-tumble boys. Sturdy and high-quality construction. br>br>The only drawback is that if your feet are wide, the strap is a little short (it does velcro) and a little tight; the company should add about a quarter of an inch.
