Do you have any setting instructions?

In the box, there were no instructions. We eventually figured it out, but it took a long time. Instructions, on the other hand, would've been beneficial.

What is the procedure for turning off the hourly chime?

To go into alarm mode in normal mode, press the B key twice. Then press D to turn on/off the alarm/chime. If the alarm/chime symbol appears, the function is turned on; otherwise, it is turned off.

Is it going to fog up if I put it in the water?

If the child does not press the buttons while in or under the water, the answer is no.

Is this something that only happens during military operations?

In the time setting mode, you can set it to 12 hours. At first, there is an "h" symbol at the bottom of the hour dial when you adjust it. Change the hour until the "h" becomes "a" or "p," denoting am or pm, respectively. I hope this is clear.

My 11-year-old purchased this with a gift card he was given, and he absolutely adores it. He won't have to worry about getting it wet when he washes his hands or does the dishes because it's water resistant. He set the time on it himself and uses the alarm feature all the time, so he's very pleased with his purchase.

The backlighting is nice and the watch is sturdy. The stopwatch and timer features will be particularly appealing to my son. It says it's water resistant and swim-proof, but it doesn't say how deep it can go like other watches. I got this for my son's stocking, but it's as big as my 38mm Apple Watch, so it'll probably be too big for his skinny wrist; however, the band is pliable enough that we can always punch another hole in it if it doesn't fit. Instructions that are detailed.

For the money, this is the best watch available

This watch was purchased for my ten-year-old son. He read the instructions once before putting it on and has been wearing it for about 5 months. He swims in it and showers in it, and it has yet to show signs of wear. He should be able to operate the stopwatch and alarm on his own. As a first watch for a child, I would recommend it.
