It had exactly the right size and we were able to use it right away. As in exactly the right size and we won't be able to use it next year, but when I received it, I thought it was going to be too small for my 12 year old son. To give you an idea, my son weighs about 100 pounds and stands 5' tall. Upon ordering the size 14, we were told it would fit snugly. I admit that I didn't press the vest before he wore it, so it had a slight crease from where it had been folded during shipping. The vest looks great with his shirt and tie. I thought the material on the back was thin and satiny, but other than that it was perfect.
Several days later, I received a vest that will fit my son after ordering two others and returning them. It is great to have vests like these. Here are the five items I ordered. I ordered 2 sizes (2t) and 4 sizes (4t), 2 sizes (12) and one (16), and they all fit perfectly. I was so happy with how my wedding turned out. Two size 12s are for 8 year old boys and a 10 year old boy. And the 16 is for a 14 year old boy. The dark charcoal grey colour is what I bought.
