Because Xs is a 4/5, I'm guessing a medium would be 6/7.
It has a purpose. These come in a small size. My score is usually around 9. Large was required for a 5-year-old. Very mediocre. I got both colors for four dollars on Prime Day, and I also bought some for my nephew. My grandson was the next to arrive. These appeal to me. Soft. Material for a waist sweater. Pants are similar to chino/khaki shorts, but they are a little softer.
I'd go with Med xs because it's more 4/5.
If your child is slim, go for a small, but if he is bulky, go for a medium.

It appears to be of a reasonable standard- The material isn't particularly light. In my opinion, it is quite large. My 5-year-old son has been wearing a size 6 in other brands for a few months, but this fits him like an 8. They hang off him even when the drawstring is pulled tight, and he isn't a tiny little thing, measuring in at the 50th percentile for height and weight.
He has a big bum, so he struggles with them being too tight, but these were even a little loose, which he was able to tighten by pulling the strings. I got them in a camo print and a dinosaur print, which is a faded gray color. The best part is that I only paid $5 for each of these. They're a size xl / size 12 pair.
This is fantastic. The quality of the product surprised me. They're made of woven cotton and have a slight stretch to them. They're thick enough to withstand the abuse of my rough-and-tumble six-year-old. He's been climbing trees, sliding down rocks on his buttocks, and getting covered in mud, and each time these have come out looking brand new, which is quite impressive. He has functional pockets and a drawstring. My six-year-old is of average height and has a strong build for his age. They sit comfortably around his waist and end just above his knees, making them ideal for climbing and other activities. Plus, it allows him to expand during the summer. They have a lovely appearance, a lovely fit, and are durable enough to withstand my wild country child. br>I'll be purchasing a second pair in the near future. It's just that they're so high-quality!.
These are so cute! My son quickly adopted them as his favorite pair of shorts. The little dinosaur design is durable and does not fade in the wash, and they pair well with a variety of tops. He loves the stretchy waistband because it makes dressing himself so much easier, and he's always upset when they have to be washed and he can't wear them! I believe I'll need to purchase a few more pairs in different sizes as well. It was unquestionably a wise investment.
I bought another pair of shorts for school for a little over $5 because they were on sale when I bought them. One to keep for weekends and special occasions. He enjoys them as well, so this is a win-win situation. This is an excellent product.
The dinosaur pattern is adorable and subtle enough for an older child to appreciate. Simple to put on and take off. They've put up with a lot of roughhousing and laundry trips. They don't look brand new after a summer like this, but they don't have any holes and can definitely be passed down to a younger sibling.
She makes the most of them. She is usually VERY particular about the fit of her shorts, and there is always something that irritates her. These, on the other hand, have never caused us any issues.
These are acceptable. They're a bit squishy. not overly rigid The waistband is ideal for hard-to-fit boys. They're easy to put on. The proportions appear to be correct.
