I almost did it, but my child needed pants for school, so I figured I could wash them a few times and get rid of the starch (assuming that was the problem). My 6-year-old, on the other hand, returned home with a large stain on the first day he wore it. I washed and washed and washed some more - The stiffness and staining are both still present. I used 2 packs of navy blue dye to color them. It's still stiff, but it's not navy blue. As a result, they've switched to wearing play pants. Not only was this my first order through Amazon's "try it before you buy it" program, but I also purchased two pairs of FRENCH TOAST Flat Front Double Knee Adjustable Waist uniform pants. I'm kicking myself for not noticing that these two pant orders appeared to be the same, but one pair, the pair I'm reviewing, cost $1 more. Because these pants were labeled differently, I assumed there was something special about them. Here's how they differ: The style SK9001 is listed on this bad pair. I assumed someone had tried them out and returned them to the new program, with the supplier starching them thoroughly for the next buyer. Perhaps SK9001 is simply overly starchy. I'm not sure what I'm saying. I only wish I had listened to my instincts and returned them right away! I'm guessing this'starch' is why the two packs of navy blue dye didn't work (I dye a lot of things, so I'm used to it). I've also noticed that these pants have gone up in price - Compared to a few months ago, the price has increased by $6. br>br>The other FRENCH TOAST Flat Front Double Knee Adjustable Waist pant (SK9280) fit perfectly and cost $1 less!.

These pants appeared to be nice at first, but my son complained of something scratchy after only two months, and the knee area of both legs is falling apart and does indeed feel scratchy. These are the only pair of pants we've had that are falling apart out of all the brands we've tried.

My son is tall enough to wear a size 20, but because he is so skinny, I have to keep him in boys' pants with adjustable waists rather than adult sizes. The size 20 in this brand, on the other hand, is so large that I swear my son could fit inside just one pant leg. The size chart is useless because it does not include a waist measurement, only height and weight. These, unfortunately, had to be returned.

As far as I can tell, the quality of these pants is excellent. Unfortunately, after carefully reading the size chart and measuring my son twice, I discovered that the pants were far too big. I expected them to be long, but I was taken aback by how wide the waistband was, so I returned them. I wish I could guess the next best size, because I would order them again if they didn't fit, but I don't want to return them. I recommend them because of the fabric's quality and low price. It's possible that you'll have to fiddle with the sizes a little.

After reading reviews about how stiff the pants were and how the undersides of the knees were falling apart, I was hesitant to purchase through Amazon rather than the Frenchtoast website; however, I was in a rush to get pants for my son, and I was relieved to find that the 12S navy blue pants I received were normal and of great quality, just as I expected Frenchtoast pants to be. I usually order from the Frenchtoast website, but their delivery takes too long and costs more, so I took a chance and ordered from Amazon. They appear to be genuine Frenchtoast pants as far as I can tell, and I am very pleased with my purchase. In the future, I'll order these pants from Amazon in different colors. The size and fit are accurate.

My 5'8" 135 pound 13-year-old son requires clothing for a choir concert and has had difficulty fitting into men's sizes. These have a loose fit. The waist and length of a size 20 are 32 inches. Love the adjustable waistband; the length is a little long, but that's fine. Although the material attracts lint, it appears to be durable. I was pleased with the quality and value of the product, as well as the speed with which it was delivered from Amazon.

My 7-year-old is very particular about his uniform pants having hook and eye closures, so he chose the French Toast pants from Costco as his favorite. )br>Around the time school started, Costco ran out of uniform pants. The hook and eye closure was mentioned in the description, so I ordered them. However, upon receiving them, we discovered that the fabric is not the same as the Costco French Toast pants. As a result, they were handed back to us. The scratchiness is excessive.

This is the second time I've purchased these pants. Why? I can't find pants that stay up around my son's skinny waist because he's so skinny, but these do the trick. The length is JUST long enough, in my opinion. He can wear high top sneakers with his school uniform, but the length may be an issue otherwise. They did, however, fit around his waist without me having to adjust the waist or having a ton of fabric bunching around his crotch. We wash them about twice a week because they are used as school uniform pants, and they have held up well so far. They will certainly last the entire year, in my opinion. They're a lifesaver, and he chooses these pants over the other "slim" pants first thing in the morning. My purchase has made me extremely happy.
