As far as their size goes, they are true to size. A shoe size 3/3 fit my child, so I had to size up. The shoe will fit an instep size 4 if you size up from a size 5.

This is the shoe you need if you never get rid of a pair of jeans that does not have holes in the knees. Those are the shoes you need to replace before you break for the Thanksgiving holiday if your kids' school shoes need to be replaced. This is an excellent option for those who want a less expensive (but high quality) version of the expensive ones that rhyme with Sherrell. In terms of weight and height, my son, who is nine years old, is 95 percentile. Despite being just nine, he is physically larger than most 11-year-olds. It's not just that he plays like a little kid he's very hard on his shoes, too. My goal was to replace them every two months After a period of 3 weeks, the laces fell apart a lot. I also had to order elastic "no-tie" laces to replace the laced. This is a great workaround.

I am eight years old The year is He didn't complain once during a six hour hike in them. They were perfect for him. He was very comfortable and did not I put his feet in these as we walked through some shallow streams and they were completely dry. In spite of being about 40° outside, he appeared to be fine. A perfect pair of outdoor shoes if you've got a family who likes to go hiking.

I love it after I alter it a little! It would be difficult for him to slip on these, because they are tall enough to protect his ankles and they have enough grip on the sole to be able to hold up to all A lot of his hiking is on his own, just 18 months old

Rather than needing to tie his shoe with elastic laces, I replaced them with paracord, which made accessing his foot easier. The strap was worthless, because it barely went around his chubby ankles despite it being a bit long!.

We bought these boots in a size 9 for our 5 year old who normally wears a size 9 toddler shoe. He has enjoyed wearing them so far and calls them his boots. They fit true to size and have been great hiking boots so far. We have already gone over 20 miles in these boots this season with no blisters (we bought GOOD hiking socks! That is the most important thing) and he hasn't complained about his feet hurting after hiking all day. Four miles is the longest hike he has done on a single day so far. It wasn't the first time he complained about his feet after walking 5 miles! Since we don't carry our son on hikes, he has walked ALL these miles on his own two feet as well! Those boots are awesome! If I am unable to buy them again in the future, I will buy the next size up or two here as soon as possible.

For my three-year-old daughter, I bought it in the size 8 for little kids. Having to carry her 1 year old sister because she hikes on her own, she started hiking on her own last year. Over the past 5 years, she has hiked up to 4 miles and gained 600+ feet in altitude. It's a great pair of (She loves Smartwool socks. She had wet socks after stepping through some steams on our last hike, but it could also have been from "swishing" the boots after having to cross a mudslide in the river. Her only complaint is the ankle strap, which is not long or strong I have to re-do it on a regular basis and my daughter has small A reviewer recommended cutting off the strap and replacing it with laces, and I was thinking about doing the same. I would recommend this shoe to other hikers. I will probably get another pair soon in a larger size when my daughter outgrows these.

This is a great purchase! My son is two and a half years old, so a size 8 fits perfectly! These boots are working great for her! She also ordered thicker hiking socks to wear with them! These boots have already put a lot of miles on them! We hike a lot in the mountains here in Colorado! She loves her boots, so she wears them all the time
