Depending on the amount of space available around the foot, either. For my son, I ordered a size up, and he can barely get his foot into them. You'll need to tie or untie if the fit is too tight.
I'm afraid you won't be able to remove the footbed. The shoe's insole, however, is extremely comfortable. The Sperry Cup II Boat (Tan) is the shoe I purchased. The color is a two-tone navy blue. I hope this information is useful.
Sperrys are known for being narrow, but I don't have the wide version, so this isn't the case for me. They aren't likely to be comfortable for your son, in my opinion.
My child has a narrow foot, so the regular width works perfectly for him. I hope this information is useful.

I am a size 6 woman. 5 to 7 inches wide, but I usually buy a larger size to get the right width. These came in a size 4 for the boys. 5W, and while they could have been a tad wider, they're definitely a better length and width than a woman's 7W.
First and foremost, I was blown away by how comfortable these shoes were! But it's a different story with the laces. Two weeks later, one of the shoes' laces had broken. I tried unsuccessfully to rethread them, even using Sperry brand laces, but the remaining lace threaded through the shoe broke again as I pulled it out. I sent this pair of shoes back to Sperry with a note, but no refund has been received. Having bought several pairs of Sperrys over the years, this pair will not deter me from purchasing another pair, but it will not be in this style.
My entire life has been spent in Sperrys, and I've always been the same size! I ordered a pair of these shoes in that size, 6, and they arrived quickly. 5W. I also noticed that a different color was half-price, but my size was unavailable, but the next half-size was. I took a chance and went with the number seven. The 0W in grey and the 6 in black. The brown is a 5W. The grey shoes arrived a day earlier than the browns. I was relieved to find that they fit reasonably well; all I need to do now is wear them with socks. The 6. The next day, the 5W brown pair arrived. They're bigger than the 7, to my surprise. 0W pair! They're very loose and the same length as the larger size; I checked the interior tag, and they're a size 6. It's a 5W, but it appears to be a 7. This is my first time wearing extra wide Sperrys; my Sperrys have always fit perfectly. They have a nice appearance and a soft insole that should be comfortable, but they are too big!.
The shoes themselves are fantastic, but the laces are a disaster. My son attends a private school and is required to wear these shoes on a daily basis. The laces had broken and were completely useless after only four weeks. The real kicker is that he doesn't tie his shoes every day because they are too loose on him. Several of my students had sperrys with the same laces as me, and theirs had broken as well. Order the relacing kit at the same time as the shoes.
My 6-year-old found this shoe to be extremely uncomfortable. We didn't keep them in the end.
This is a good match. a pleasant experience A good grip is provided by the rubber sole. Easy to put on for children, with velcro that gives the appearance of laces. In the fall, I'll most likely purchase a blue one to match my son's school uniform.
My daughter was wearing a size 3 at the time, so I assumed she would. I bought these in a 3 because she wore 3 for the entire school year last year. Because they're a little too big, I'll have to make some thick insoles to make them fit better. The SPERRY logo on the inside rubbed off after only one day of use. They suit her well, and she will grow into them. It's preferable to be overly large than undersized.
The shoe, on the other hand, runs between a full and half size large. My son usually wears a size 5, but he does wear a size 5 on occasion. and the third. 5 Sperry was a perfect fit for him.
