The splash coat has a terry lining, similar to the character rain jackets. I ordered the yellow lightning one for my grandson, and it looks exactly like the rest of his character-themed ones. I hope you find this information useful.
They are 3/4 sleeve, but the one I bought for my son looks long on him because I bought a size bigger than he normally wears.
Hello - The splash coat comes with a hood that is insulated with terry lining for rain protection and warmth, but no hat.
My son was practically swimming in it because I ordered one size up to make it last longer. We made it because it doesn't rain much in San Diego, but if he's on the smaller side, maybe order a size smaller? Because the jacket we received is of excellent quality, I would recommend it solely on that basis.

I should have read the other reviews before purchasing this coat because the hood is ridiculously small, rendering it useless as a rain coat. My 2. I got the 3T for my 5-year-old because she is tall for her age and has a medium-sized head. The torso is enormous, but the hood only just covers her head. The material is nice, and finding a truly waterproof rain coat with a good lining is difficult, but why put such a small hood on an otherwise excellent coat?.
I've said it before, and I'll say it again: Hatley has been home to my children since they were able to walk. I'm not going to get them a new raincoat. Hatley is a high-quality product that is well worth the investment. This is not a place where you can get cheap plastic. Nothing that makes you feel uneasy, sticks together, or grows out of quickly. My son wore his Hatley raincoat in size 3T for two years, even when he was in 4T clothes, and for a few months in 5T clothes without it being too tight or short; I ordered this one in size 5 because it has the extra arm length and width that makes them last so long. I really like how this one appears to be a little older. In it, he's very cute. These coats are extremely durable.
Instead of the boys' jacket with a zipper, consider getting the girls' jacket with snaps. Hadley rain jackets are one of our favorites! You won't need as many underlayers because you'll be warm inside. Because the outside is waterproof, you can play in the rain for hours! My daughter has the same jacket, but the girls' jackets have snaps while the boys' jackets have zippers for some reason. We wish all of the jackets had snaps or a combination of zippers and snaps because the boys do not like zippers. Zipping in and out all the time is a lot of work for small hands; snaps are much faster and easier.
This raincoat's torso is great, but the hood is ridiculously small. I have to put the hood on first, then zip it up, and it's very tight around the shoulders and pulls up from the shoulders to get it on my child's head. I should have read the other reviews first, but I had to see it for myself. Although the raincoat is attractive in color and made of high-quality materials, the design flaw is ridiculous. We'll need an umbrella to use it. I'll buy from another company next time if I find one that makes similar raincoats but doesn't have such small hoods.
I really like the Hayley raincoats. They're incredibly comfortable and long-lasting. This one was purchased for a costume, but it will be used for other purposes as well. take advantage of it.
Excellent workmanship. We had another one from this brand that had been passed down to us in a smaller size and had already been worn by two other very active kids, so we bought this when the other one became too small. I'm confident we'll be able to do the same with this!.
This was purchased for my grandson, who previously had a yellow one and now has a blue one.
It's simple to zip, comfortable, and held up well during our recent rainstorm! I like how the length protects more of his clothes and how he can easily wear it for a year or two!.
