Because I work as a pharmacist and am constantly around sick people, I have always advised my employees and patients to use phone soap. This purchase, on the other hand, was a huge disappointment. I received a brand new, sealed unit, with good packaging, but the quality has deteriorated since then. The front of the unit has several deep scratches, some even under the taped-down lid, and the lid squeaks when the unit is opened and closed. It's disappointing that quality control would allow a unit like this to be released; I've always stuck with the brand and have bought maybe 10 units for friends and family, but with new units on the market, I may have to start recommending UV sanitizers instead of phone soap.
I bought two of these, but neither of them worked with my Galaxy S9. When I contacted the firm, they suggested that my case might be too heavy. I did, however, remove the case to test their theory, and it still refused to charge. In any case, I have other wireless charging devices that work flawlessly with the case. So, even if you get the "your case is too thick" response, if you're already using wireless charging, that's not acceptable for this technology. These items have been returned, and I may purchase the "non-returnable" items. The "wireless" version is $40 less than the "non-wireless" version. a fully functional wireless version I might as well save the money if I'm going to have to use a cable anyway.
The Otterbox Defender case does not allow wireless charging of the iPhone 11pro. Phone appears to be charging when centered EXACTLY in PhoneSoap charger, but it is not charging and will lose charge over time. Phone charges fine on my regular wireless charging pad.
The depth on the inside is insufficient to accommodate a phone with a case. If you put a Nexus 6p or Pixel 4 xl inside it with the unicorn beetle pro case on, the lid will not close. Wireless charging is also supported by the unicorn beetle pro case, but it is incompatible with the phone soap wireless. br>In addition, the overall construction feels flimsy and unreliable.
only in part With the pandemic, I was really hoping to like this product, so I bought four in September, assuming that everyone would want it for the holidays. NONE of the ones I gave away as gifts worked. Well - The sterilization functioned properly, but the Qi Wireless charging did not. This was an optional feature for which I paid an additional fee. Now that I've been out for three months, I'm unable to get a refund: (And I'm out of luck because I didn't buy during the 1/31/2021 return window. ) I contacted Amazon, who in turn contacted Phone Soap, who agreed to replace the items right away. I received a return label in the mail. Does that make sense? After that, I got four more in about a week. Again, none of the four devices could be charged wirelessly - What are your odds? We have iPhone 12 and iPhone XS models. There's no case, and there's no way to charge it. It turns out that this is a known problem with PhoneSoap. We have a number of Qi Wireless Chargers, and they all work with our phones while they are in their cases. The difference was agreed to be refunded by PhoneSoap - Wireless charging costs $99, while standard charging costs $79, resulting in a $30 refund per unit. They did the right thing, but I wish they had told us about it. Customer service is excellent, but the engineering is subpar.
I was looking for cleaning supplies for my electronics when I came across this device, which was linked to one of those gooey dust collectors. I thought it looked interesting, and I'm familiar with the use of ultraviolet light to kill bacteria, so I'm going to give it a try. The case is spacious, with plenty of room for my large phone. The Qi Charger is a silly add-on, but it works (I just don't leave my phone in the unit for long periods of time, even though the charger works even when the light is turned off). Where are my petri dishes? I'm going to test this device to see if it kills any bacteria.
This is something I'm completely enamored with. I'm not sure if it works because I can't tell if the things I put in there make a difference, but it makes me feel better. I honestly wouldn't mind if you swapped it before and after and told me it wasn't working. Every day, I keep my phone and earrings in there. I've put phones, chargers, jewelry, keys, tooth brush, tongue scraper, zit popping tool, and other items in it. I wish it was a little deeper so I could put my glasses or other items in it, but it's not a big deal. It has never caused me any problems. I like how it has a light to indicate when it's finished "cooking" and that it's completely silent. The ability to charge is incredible. Some mornings I oversleep and forget to charge my phone, so I put it in there while getting ready and it's fully charged when I leave. I purchased one for a friend and would purchase one for everyone I know if they weren't so expensive. Get it!.
I've now had two of these after returning the first because it wouldn't charge and being told by the company's customer service representative that it was a known problem. The problem was the same with the second. The cleaning function works fine for me, but the charger does not. Although I have a thin case on my phone, it is compatible with other wireless chargers. This isn't going to change in the near future. Even without the case, it was difficult, if not impossible, to find a location where charging occurred, and it frequently did not. br>br>Without the charging, it isn't worth the money, in my opinion.
