I adore it when a simple product improves my life in such a significant way. This cheap stand is attractive and works well for holding my phone so that I can see it without having to pick it up. Some other reviewers have mentioned that they wish they could change the angle of the tilt, but I haven't found a need for that - I have one on my desk and one on my nightstand. For me, the angle appears to be ideal. br>br>My only real gripe is that it's a little difficult to plug in the phone. Because the piece that plugs in isn't very flexible, the cord is bent at a pretty severe angle while plugged in and resting in the stand. I try to give the cord enough slack so that it isn't pulled too tightly, but it almost works better if you don't thread the cord through the hole in the back, as pictured, but instead plug it in from the front or side. This doesn't solve the cord clutter issue as well, but it may extend the life of your The design could be improved by raising the entire phone holder section above the surface to allow more room for the plug and cord, which isn't an issue if the phone isn't plugged in while resting in the stand.
I have four of these stands in my personal collection. br>br>I've also given away two more, as they make excellent gifts. They are made of durable metal and are of the highest quality. br>br> br>br>And now for the real kicker. They sent me a small thank you card and extra base stickers in a small envelope (see photo) just in case I needed to replace one or all of them at some point in the future. Who does this anymore? br>br>Who even does this? They might as well have said, "Dear honorable customer, Thank you for purchasing this item that will last so long that when you pass it on to your descendants, they will only need new pads for the base AND the pads that secure the phone someday. " "br>br>Because of the extra stickers, I took note of the company's name (Lamicall) and looked over their other products. They have stands and holders for a wide range of electronic devices. br>br> br>br>They have some nice items for sale, and I believe I will continue to do business with them. br>br>Thank you, Lamicall, for the thoughtful gesture and for not cutting corners when it comes to my long-term satisfaction. Who does this anymore? br>br>Seriously, who does this anymore? Other businesses should pay attention. br>br>.
The black metal phone stands were bought in twos. It's perfect for our iPhone 8 Plus, which is protected by an Otterbox Defender case on both sides. It comes with four soft small round pads for the bottom of the stand so that it doesn't scratch whatever surface it's sitting on, though it doesn't appear to scratch anything even without them. This stand also comes with extra feet pads and a rubber pad that sits behind the phone to keep it from sliding off the stand. You can use this stand for your iPhone vertically or horizontally; both directions work well with this stand. I like that I can have the phone plugged in while it is on the stand with no issues with the cord.
I bought one in the brushed aluminum finish (along with a larger one for a tablet) and they're both fantastic. My husband was enamored with them and requested one for his phone, so I bought him this black cell phone stand. He likes the way it looks and works, and he uses it at work to make calls on speaker phone easier. br>br>Recent changes: br>br> The logo is the only aspect of these stands that I would change. Having it visible detracts from the product's sleekness. Granted, it's not as noticeable on the silver one, but I can still see it from the front, on the base's top. It's much worse on my husband's because, rather than looking nice and sleek, whoever sits across his desk has to look at the white on black "Lamicall, blah blah blah," which is jarring rather than sleek. Please place your logo on the bottom, facing down on the surface it rests on, Lamicall! It is a time-honored tradition for all the best artists to sign functional artistic pieces beneath their signatures (think china plates, figurines, and bronzes). The fact that all of the writing is visible on such a sleek piece detracts from its cool factor.
br>I came across this by accident and decided to try it out. I compared a lot of prices and quality, and I'm glad I went with this larger option. I have an iPhone 6s and an Otterbox, so I was concerned that it wouldn't be thick enough to hold it, but it does. br>I expected the small pads on it to be felt, but they're made of good rubber and there were extras. br>Because of how useful this has been for me, two of my friends have already purchased phone stands. br>I don't care about the color because it's something I can always change. However, getting it in the color I did was also a great choice. br>The ONLY thing I'd change is that I wish there was a little more weight on the bottom of the stand so that when I tap the upper part of the screen (if it's vertical), it shakes the stand a little, but not enough to bother me.
This was on my wish list for a long time, and I finally decided to buy it. I'm so glad I went ahead and did it. The fact that it's made of metal rather than plastic surprised me the most. It's sturdy, and it keeps my phone close at hand on my work desk. I really like the cord cutout, which allows you to charge your phone while standing up. I used to have to charge my phone on its side with my old stand, but if you listen to music while you work, this is a useful and attractive addition to have. Love it.
