It's not even close to flat, so the phone sits at an angle. I'm not sure if it's just the one I received. To make sure one side of the table sits flat, I propped the other side up with two small furniture pads.

I had to cut off the padding on one hand so that the phone would lay flat. It is different in elevation between the hands.
