Item is a replacement charger for a Fossil smartwatch, exactly like the first one that came with the watch. Nothing to be concerned about, everything works perfectly.
As part of the Fossil collection, this is identical to the watch that comes with it. Simple as that, it works flawlessly and I have not noticed any issues. I use this one as my travel/spare cable and have not noticed any issues. The length isn't as long as the original that came with the watch but should be enough for most situations.
If Anker or Aukey ever released a charger for the Fossil Gen 5 watches, I would purchase one from them (I would buy another for the car, too). There is no power supply included with this item. The cable and the magnetic charging disc are all that's needed. Charges are as expected with the charger. It takes about an hour for my watch to charge to 100%.
The one that came with my watch is identical to the one I received from the manufacturer. It is great to keep another one in my purse for charging when I am not at.
I guess it's expensive. Come on, aftermarket, get to work! Copy of the one that came with the watch, it works great. We can only hope that aftermarket will soon come out with some affordable ones with a better design/mount and at a lower price!.
For my Fossil Gen 5 watch, it's nice to have a backup charger. There is a symptom with this charger the same as in my original charger, where sometimes the watch will continuously 'blip' like it's just been The charging mechanism appears to have been overlooked by the engineering department, and not the charger specifically.
I expect it to charge my watch (fossil sport), but it doesn't.
I wanted a second one for work (anyone having purchased a Gen5 knows that battery life can be an issue), and this one does the trick. As such, I am able to wear it at night to track my sleep, and then I can throw it on the charger in my office if I need an energy boost to get me through another.
