In order to continue calling or texting after 90 days, you have to add minutes, but even after 90 days when you add another card, any remaining credit will be added. For instance, if you have 40 minutes left after 90 days but add 200 minutes, you get 240 minutes.

The Tracfone card does not have a scratch off code, but rather is a small letterboard device with a code printed on the back. A review I found a while back said people got a sheet of paper.
