As far as the mount is concerned, it's superb. Is the perfect size for holding a smartphone. An Arca Swiss tripod head will work perfectly with this adapter. There is only one complaint the cold shoe mount is blocked by the adjustment knob up top. The mic needs to be raised high enough to not be a problem. It isn't going to fit in the mount due to the adjustment screw blocking it from sliding in. The unit is not usable unless I either change my microphone or add another accessory to the hot shoe to raise my mic a bit so that it fits on the unit.

The mounting plates that I have for DSLR bodies and lenses have a slightly narrower base than the plates that I have for the ball head (although the latter plates are more expensive). Ulanzi's base plate is wider than all the others I have, so I can't clamp it into the ball head's clamp from the top the way I've been doing it. In order to attach the ball head's clamp, I must insert the Ulanzi into the ball head's clamp, and then again because the Ulanzi fits into the space so tightly, there is not much room for the ball head's clamp. Due to the relatively low weight of a phone, and the fact that the clamping screw doesn't need a great deal of torque, this is not an issue. The clamping screws for the other plates are slightly narrower, so I can clamp the plate with a very tight fit by cranking down on the clamping screw. The one I saw on this website had very good reviews around the internet when I was researching Arca Compatible mobile mounts. An appealing aspect of the design is its minimalistic nature and sturdy construction. I liked the packaging because it was simple and effective. It is a wonderful mount in terms of design. This metal case was simple to use, but efficient. It provided secure support for my iPhone 11 without failure. The compatibility with Arca Swiss quick release plates was very interesting to me, so I did some testing the moment I received it. I was able to mount it on both tripod ball head mounts I tested. In addition, the embedded show mount was also highly rated, but reviews were mixed. It is true that the lighter attachments such as LITRA portable lights (such as the LITRA portable light) will fit in there, but I would hesitate to add anything much bigger to the system. If you attach a long microphone there, I doubt that you will be able to trust it. This mount is ideal for my needs, so I am happy with it. Ideally, I wanted a mount capable of holding a small light above it so that I could face time with my family. You can accomplish your goals with this.
