Yes! Due to the existence of an Arca-based organization, You can use it without the base by mounting it to the end of the phone bracket. This is a fantastic feature that allows you to remove the bracket from the base to save weight while still allowing you to move around freely when using a ball head.

I've tried a few different phone holders and this is by far the best. To take group photos of my family, I pair it with a SIRUI Carbon Fiber Travel 5C Tripod. When we're on the road, we keep this in our car. The pair is small enough to be carried on the shoulder (the tripod comes with a bag) and used for short hikes.
- Without using a knob, the pivot allows you to switch between portrait and landscape mode. The tripod ball head is still fully functional, and it is stiff enough to hold its position while being loose enough to turn without significant effort, which is where many competitors fail.
- The phone is held in place by a strong spring. It puts in a little more effort than others, but I don't have to worry about my phone falling out. There are no knobs to tighten, loosen, or loosen; simply clip your phone in and go.
- Without the plate, the arca foot attaches directly to the tripod (as seen above). This results in a strong connection with one fewer joint to move.
- It's solid and made of metal (I'm guessing aluminum alloy). It appears to have a long life ahead of it.
- It is compatible with most rubber and silicone phone cases. Only some phones will fit. br>br>The only drawback is that some phones will not fit. A friend's phone was not working because it was in a very thick case. br>br>If you're looking for a reliable phone tripod mount, look no further.
This is a well-made mount that performs admirably. Instead of a spring-loaded mechanism, many other mounts use a screw mechanism. That might appear to be more powerful, but I'm not convinced. Human error is likely to result in the screw in versions not being tightened properly on occasion. Unless you plan to throw your phone like a baseball pitcher, this spring-loaded version is plenty tight, and the phone can be attached and detached in a fraction of a second to capture shots that would otherwise take too long to set up on other types of mounts.
The product appeared to be sturdy and well-made, but it was the wrong size mount for my tripod. The description was a little vague, which is why I didn't realize it was the wrong fit for my needs.
It does exactly what it says. I used it with an iPhone and a Galaxy S21, and it performed admirably. Although it appears to be durable, if I break it, I will replace it. That is how effective it is.
This will not fit an iPhone 11 with a case comfortably. It doesn't have a size adjustment knob, and it's a pull out that doesn't go far enough. This type of style is prone to pinching your finger. I mean really hurt it when I say pinch. It's ridiculous that these things are still made this way.
It securely holds the iPhone. Metal product with a lot of strength.
This holder securely holds my iPhone 11 Pro, which is protected by a temporary case. The ability to mount something on the front fascia is appealing to me.
It's mounted on the base in an unusual way, and the tiny set screw I used to tighten it broke the base the first time I did so.
