As seen from the So, when I initially bought this tripod phone mount I initially expected it to be the typical Chinese-made piece of equipment. Still, it's well made in a surprising way. In comparison to the clamp's two halves, the plastic seems durable, and the metal bolt is also sturdy. There is a slight curve on the inside of the clamp so that it holds your device securely. Upon opening, it can open up to a maximum of 4 inches, (anything more and the bolt will fall out). I have the Samsung S7 with an otterbox defender case and the case fits well with no problem. There is a penalty for compressing the screen protector because it bows out, but I think that is just due to the case I use. The case I use doesn't compress the screen protector at all. Here are the instructions for the remote control I was exactly right about what I expected from the remote. I like it because it is cheap and does exactly what I need. My initial concern was the battery, but I was pleasantly surprised to find it was still powered up. Bluetooth is controlled via a small switch on the side. The buttons on iOS and Android operate the same way, but I had to go into the settings to change what the volume buttons do on the S7 in order to get it to stop and start my video. The volume is all that's connected to it. The rest of the time, it takes photographs.

Please note that After attaching this phone stand to a tripod I had for 25 years, fastening my phone to it, turning on my phone's Bluetooth and connecting the remote control it came with, it took me less than five minutes to do all of that. It comes with a battery already inserted so you don't have to add it. With this clamp, I can securely hold my phone. My iPhone pro max fits inside of it (it's large enough to hold it). It was still a little unclear to me that it would work, but I was able to quickly take both photos and videos using the remote. As I walked away from the feeder, I realized just how far the remote control could reach. I took the whole thing outside onto my deck where I placed it close to my hummingbird feeder. The equipment allows me to sit inside the house at my kitchen table and watch for hummingbirds and to take videos through the (closed) window, while it is set up about 20 feet away from me outside. Although it is not as sturdy or robust as the majority of gadgets on the market, it is not as easily damaged as other gadgets, and it can hold my phone comfortably even when it is in a large Otterbox case I have on it. The overall quality of the product is really satisfactory, and for the price it's worth it, but I thought it should be made of a tougher material that can hold up better to everyday use and abuse, since I plan to use it wherever I may go. As of yet, it hasn't broken either, so I'm giving it a thumbs up.

However, I would not be able to use a mic diameter screw without this adapter. In addition to being plastic, the phone holder rotates only on the vertical support, not up and down or side to side. It doesn't have a spring extender that grips the phone, only one manually, and it does not come with something to securely hold the phone in place. I don't know. It would have been nice if I had read the description in more detail. As it turned out, I ended up spending a few more dollars and getting a beautiful aluminum one with springs Featuring a loaded grip and a ball-switch that is fully adjustable Mechanism that adjusts easily using a socket. It is also not possible to use the remote because there are no instructions.

The clamp has the features that make it a quality product. There is no spring clamp on this clamp, but it is adjustable via a knob and will securely hold the phone. I am carrying an Otterbox Commuter Series case on my iPhone MS Max with comfort and safety. There are two screw locations to attach to a tripod or monopod. This is a good purchase.

I was amazed at how well it worked! I was able to sync it with my phone without any difficulties. There were some reviews that said, however, that the software did not work with all applications.
