That is an excellent query. The light does not have a battery. I was perplexed as well, but the extra battery is for the remote to use in the event that the other one fails. The light is connected to the microcontroller by a wire. You charge it with a USB cable/cord.

Best Value For Money; for the money, this is deserving! The wireless remote isn't my favorite because it lacks an on/off switch like my other one, and the 'insides' shouldn't come out when changing the battery (I didn't realize it already had one since it came with a new one)

When changing the battery on the remote, I'm concerned that it will break. It's great that two were included, because all of my wireless remotes require a different battery, and I've had to purchase several different packs. br>br> I was surprised at how well this setup and functioned for the price; it was the cheapest one I could find, and it came with a light that was already turned on (and charged) when I opened it. It appears to be more durable than the ring light tripod I have. This one will accompany me wherever I go. br>br> It's small enough to fit in my pocket, and it's easy to set up. This is the tripod and/or selfie stick you're looking for if you're on a budget. I wish I had purchased this a long time ago.

My new selfie stick was fantastic when I first got it. It was probably a dozen times that I used it. When I went to use it recently, it wouldn't turn on, so I replaced the battery (which was included in the original order), but it still didn't work - It's even been charged. nothing. My less expensive selfie stick lasted for five years!.
