This is a fantastic headset. The sound is crystal clear and surrounds the listener in all directions. I use it for Call of Duty and similar games, so directional sound is crucial. At least, that's what I've been told about the mic quality. It's easy to hear my voice; In the game, we talk a lot. The only reason these didn't get five stars is because of the catch. I am a 40-year-old man, and the construction is somewhat flimsy. My two sons and I have a child who enjoys playing video games. I'm 40, so I'm not going to put this headset through a lot of wear and tear. When I'm not using them, I wear them and then put them away. If I gave these to my 15-year-old, I doubt they would last more than six months. They appear to be fragile and "loose" in construction. Having said that, I'm glad my sons have heavier-duty headsets and that I ended up with these. So far, I've been very pleased with them, and with the exception of that one gripe, I'd recommend them to others with the same caveat.
After a week, I decided to stop working. Returned. Likes: Comfortable to wear for an extended period of time, far superior to what I had previously, with nice and soft paddings. The sound quality is adequate, but not outstanding. br>br>Likes: br>br>Likes: br>br>Likes: br> Braided cords make a rubbing sound when rubbed together. Removable and permanent- The next model up has a folding microphone but costs twice as much and the microphone audio is poor; at $90, I'm sure I can find something far better. Splitter isn't included, which isn't a big deal because I bought one for an extra $6, but it's worth noting because even my other cheap $20 headset came with one. br>Final verdict: It's fine to use and we'll keep it. With a price tag of $40 and the need to purchase the splitter separately, this is not a good deal. When compared to my $20 headset, the only thing that makes it better is the comfort of wearing it; there is no difference in audio quality. I'd put a $25-$30 value on this one. $30 max. I have another headset that I paid $50 for that is ten times better, but it is no longer available. Keep looking in this price range; you might come across something much better. br>br>PS: if you're looking for a unique way to express yourself, try using the words " The headphones' connecting hinges, which allow them to fold flat, are not a clever feature, but rather a design flaw. It's very flimsy and will be the first to break. br>br>Recent changes: br>br> After a week, I had to return this headset. They stopped working, and even at maximum volume, the people I spoke with had a very faint voice. My microphone was telling me that there was a lot of static. I double-checked that nothing was wrong with my connection by switching back to my cheap backup headset, which works much better.
I originally wanted this headset because it came in a white version to match my new PC's mouse and keyboard, but it was delayed in its release, so I ended up buying a much more expensive headset from a different company that just. . . It didn't come across as a good idea. I returned it, and by the time I went back to look for another, this one had already been released! I'm happy to report that it works perfectly, and it's only $40, as opposed to $150 for the other headset. It's truly incredible. When I play games, I can finally communicate with my friends!
(P. If you want to use it on a PC, it doesn't come with a splitter or USB adapter. A USB converter has proven to be more effective!.
I was extremely disappointed when I received these JBL headphones today. br>br>My most recent three headphones have been the HyperX Cloud, which cost around $60. After about a year of heavy use, they tend to lose one side of audio. Between five and two years Indeed, one of the sides of my Hyper X clouds failed, prompting me to order a replacement from Amazon. Instead of finding a replacement, I found overpriced versions of the HyperX headsets when I searched on Amazon. I saw that these JBL headphones had a lot of positive feedback and decided to give them a try. br>br>When compared to the HyperX Clouds, JBL headphones are simply terrible. They're light and plasticy, with the feel of a $10 throwaway pair of headphones. They put an uncomfortably tight grip on the head. My new headphones have a weaker, flatter sound that lacks the fullness of my old ones. They don't do a good job of isolating ambient noise in the room. This alone has convinced me that I will never use these products again. There isn't much bass, and the sound is mostly mid-range. br>br>When I first put them on, I couldn't believe how different the HypexCloud and these JBL headphones were in terms of sound quality. Although the price difference is only $20, it sounds and feels like it is $300. br>br>After a few hours of use today, I immediately ordered the $60 HyperX Cloud base model, and I'm hesitant to try another JBL product.
These were purchased to replace the cheap ones that my son had worn out in less than a year. They sound fantastic, just as I expected JBL speakers to. We did have to order a headphone splitter, though, so he could connect to both the headphone and mic jacks. Otherwise, you'll only get sound output and no mic input. If you're using a mobile device such as a phone or tablet that only has one 3. You'll be fine with a 5mm jack for headphones and mic, but for a desktop, you'll need to order a splitter. That'll set you back anywhere from $5 to $15, depending on quality, so factor that into your budget on top of the headphone price. I'll be able to rate the mic once we get the splitter.
They have a great level of comfort. Around the ears, it's nice and soft. The braided cable is an attractive finishing touch. Although it is simple to use, DO NOT - DO NOT USE ON THE NINTENDO SWITCH FOR VOICE CHATING. JBL said yes when I asked him a question about it. On the switch, they don't support voice chat. It was a waste of money because that was the point of my purchase, and as a result, I doubt I'll ever buy another JBL product.
Purchased for use with the Xbox One X. Because JBL headsets are so new, I ordered this one after watching a few review videos. br>They have so many different models, but I chose the Quantum 100 because it was the cheapest option, and I was pleasantly surprised by how well JBL outperformed me with their Quantum Surround Sound built in. br>Because the headset was only $40, I decided to purchase Dolby Atmos for $15 on my Xbox, and wow, the surround sound is incredible; a must-have!.
