Questions & Answers

Is Hi-Fi supported by these headphones? Are you looking for a high-quality audio experience?

Not with a wireless connection. You can, however, connect to the audio jack with the included cable and listen to your HiFi audio system.

Can I use the swiping to adjust the volume control without using the Bose app and just a wired connection to a stereo tuner?

Yes. There are also touch points on the headset itself where you can adjust the sound and noise cancellation.

Is it possible to use these while exercising? Are they able to stay on your head during strenuous activities such as running and jumping?

I wear them every day during exercise, running and doing crunches, and they stay on fine, though they will slip if you turn your head completely upside down.

What sound setting are you referring to when you say 20 hours of battery life?

I've never spent 20 hours on two different sets, at any sound level, and with any level of noise cancellation. The first set was said to be defective, and Bose has only responded with stock statements about the second set. Clearly, the advertised 20-hour battery life is not accurate, leaving the Bose 700 with little advantage over its competitors.

I'm autistic, and these headphones appeal to me for a variety of reasons
5/5

Hello. If you're reading this, it's most likely because of the title. Autism is something I've got. If you have autism, you should definitely give these headphones a try. First and foremost, the problem with most (all others that I have tried) over-the-counter pain relievers is that they are over-the-counter. The problem with ear headphones for someone on the spectrum or with sensory issues is that they tend to cling to my head like a vice grip. It's a very unpleasant sensation, and it makes me dislike all other over-the-top situations. This pair is the first pair of over-the-ear headphones I've tried. What makes these two so different? If you look closely, you'll notice that there's an excessive amount of it. The ear piece of the equipment is not 100% attached to the over-the-head equipment is 100% attached to the over-the-head equipment is 100% the- They are a flexible headband. This is a key aspect of the design that is particularly relevant to people with autism. These headphones are without a doubt THE MOST COMFORTABLE (I use all caps because I cried the first time I put them on, they're that good) headphones I've ever worn; They're a perfect fit! I'm emotional about how amazing these headphones are, so I'm using caps and profanity. br>br>All right, now I'll move on to the second design feature: because of the noise cancellation Oh. My. Sweet. Jesus. When I first turned on the noise canceling headphones, I started crying. I was in bed with my weighted blanket (guys, I'm going through some repressed memories right now, so the stress is at an all-time high). I put these on to drown out the sound of my (also autistic) son and whatever other noises were going on in our small apartment (which was at an all-time high right now). It was as if a freakin dove descended from heaven to relieve my senses of the daily oppression they are subjected to, which I have learned to ignore after 33 years of dealing with it (I am 33 years old). But, as the book says, "the score is kept by the body," right? My body instantly relaxed, as if I were at a f***ing spa! smack dab in the middle of my cramped quarters In the other room, my child was screaming. Silence. There was no sound at all. Peace of mind. Transcendence is a word that many people use to describe something that is All of the above are true. It was absolutely fantastic. If noise cancellation is important to you, these headphones deliver (I can't compare them to other brands because I haven't tested many over $300 headphones). Let's get this party started. br>br>All right, let's get this party started. The third feature that stands out is: The battery life on these puppies is incredible; I was able to wear them for two days without needing to charge them until the end of the second day. I've never had a pair of headphones with such a long battery life, so consider me blown away. br>br>To sum it up, these headphones are the most incredible item I own. This isn't a joke. There isn't a single exaggeration in this statement. I'm head over heels for you. I'm much less stressed now that I know I can turn off the constant barrage of sensory information I'm bombarded with on a daily basis by simply putting these on. Even if I'm not wearing them, knowing that I have this option makes a huge difference on occasion. Give these babies a try if you have autism or are sensitive to auditory stimulation. They're well worth the money, in my opinion. I appreciate your taking the time to read this. I hope you found my point of view to be interesting.

I used to put my faith in Bose for sound quality
3/5

I no longer have faith in them. Because of the ridiculously complicated, privacy-invading nature of the product, I'm forced to give it a one-star rating. Do you have a phone? Do you have an invading app that Bose requires for the headphones to work on any device. br>br>Do you have an invading app that Bose requires for the headphones to work on any device. br>br>Do you have a phone? Allow 15 minutes to download the app and set it up. Do you have an iPad as well? Rep the procedure once more. A laptop? This is starting to irritate me. Do you think your wife would like to use them on her phone? Rep the procedure once more. Let's say you want to use them on your phone again; you'd think it'd be simple, right? No way. You must now disconnect the headphones from all of your other devices. It's infuriating to say the least. br>br>How could Bose have thought this was a good idea in the first place? Then you read further and learn that the app is being used to steal your data. I'm not going to buy another Bose product that uses this system, and I'm going to sell my headphones on eBay. br>br>I used to put my faith in Bose when it came to sound quality. Now, I simply don't trust them.

It's perfect for teams
5/5

If you purchase the dongle, you will be able to use it. I bought these Bose headphones to use during work meetings with my team. Even though I had heard that they didn't work well for Teams/Zoom calls, I decided to go with these. I reasoned that as a former software developer with 15 years of experience in IT, I should be able to figure out a way to make them work, right? Well, not so much. br>br> The good news is that they will work once you get them set up. Are. FABULOUS. That is exactly what I mean. They have an EQ app that lets you adjust the volume at which you hear your own voice, as well as the level of noise cancellation on a scale of 1-to-10. 10 - Because of the super-powers, it's critical for me. I have to turn down the noise cancellation because it makes me dizzy. br>br>Now for the bad news - A Bose dongle is also available for purchase. It's not cheap, but it solves any and all issues with Teams/Zoom in an instant. (I have Teams meetings every day and Zoom about once a week. ) None of the off-the-beaten-path options appealed to me. I didn't have time to fiddle with it, so I used brand dongles. The following is my main issue with this: This is a known issue with Bose, and it appears to me that after they released the dongle to fix the problem, you could bundle the dongle with the headphones for $400. I'm still irritated by it, but they work and sound so well that I'm [almost] over it. Almost, but with a slight annoyance: They have a long battery life, but they can't be used while they're charging; They're great as long as you remember to plug them in when the battery runs out. The Bad: br>br> Unless you buy the dongle through a "business account," Amazon will not sell it to you. I understand that Amazon's business is based on marketing and other such things, but this is just disgusting. Amazon, if you're reading this, I'm begging you to do something You already have a steady stream of business from me; I've been a prime member since the first year it was available, and I buy all of my music, books, kindles, and so on from you. You DO NOT require my work email address. I'm a busy professional who gets hundreds of emails per day, including enough spam and phishing emails to choke a horse. I'm sick of promotional emails, and they're bordering on infuriating on my work email account. I refused to go there because it was a cheap shot. So it's not like it makes a difference, but I bought from a competitor who happily sent the receipt to my personal email address. This annoyed me even more than Bose's decision to sell the dongle separately. br>br>However, I digress; these are excellent headphones that work seamlessly with the dongle; One charge lasts me at least three days of heavy use, and the EQ app allows you to tailor your sound preferences. Overall, I am very pleased with my purchase.

It won't connect to the app, so it's not worth the effort
3/5

The headphones are beautiful, but I've been trying to connect them to the Bose Music app for over three hours and they keep failing. Nothing works after reading and following every single troubleshooting procedure on the Bose community forums and website. The headphones, in addition to not connecting to the app, are stuck in a reboot loop. The headphones connect to the phone without a hitch, but without the app, they're practically useless. It shouldn't be so difficult to use headphones that cost this much. I'm going to send these back.
