It does not work with wireless charging, despite what the manufacturer claims
3/5

As far as being a pop socket is concerned, this obviously works perfectly fine, which comes as no surprise. When I asked Popsocket if another pop socket would still allow wireless charging, they told me that the one I was asking about wouldn't and that I needed to get one that was the newer style PopGrip like this one. So I put it to the test, and it turned out to be a complete fabrication. It appears to start charging your phone when you first place it on the wireless charging pad, once you've found the exact precise spot where it will still recognize it for charging. However, when I awoke the next morning, my phone had not been charged at all, and the back of the phone, the Popsocket, and the wireless charging pad were all extremely hot. If you don't need wireless charging and just want a Popsocket with this design, this is a good option. However, if you use a wireless charger, DO NOT BUY. That was the primary reason I purchased this Popsocket, and I'm not sure if I should just say screw it and stick with it, remove it from my phone and request a refund, or order a different one and pray to God that it works as well as the one I was told by Popsocket. tl; tl; tl; tl; tl; tl; tl; tl The dr product works as intended for all Popsocket-related functions, but it does not work with wireless charging, as I was misinformed by whoever from their company left comments on Amazon product listings.

Returning, but not to my taste- Ignore the stars while reading my review
5/5

I like the look, but I can't give it a proper review because I haven't worn it yet and intend to return it. Because it differs slightly from the one I'm currently using, which I bought from Best Buy, I'm assuming this is a newer version. I put them next to each other so you could see what I'm talking about. If you look closely, you'll notice that this one (white/black) is a little shorter than mine. They both pop twice, but my original has more room at the base, so my fingers are underneath the second half, whereas the new one has my fingers right at the second half (last photo). I just don't think there's enough space between the top and bottom halves. My fingers are cramped inside. I'm sending this back because I was able to pry my old one off and replace it with my new one.

Wireless charging with a pop grip; I've always loved popsockets, so this is a must-have for me
5/5

I was so disappointed when I realized I couldn't use the wireless charger with my new phone. with the help of my pop socket Then I came across a pop socket pop grip with a detachable base! With the removable pop (base stays adhered to phone) and it works like a dream, it's a game changer in terms of wireless charging. The adhesion is the same as it was before. The grip is the same! If you want to use wireless charging with your phone but also want all the benefits of a pop socket, this is the device for you.

You have no idea what you're missing out on until you have one! I finally took the plunge and ordered one
5/5

I chose the PopSwappable because I wanted to be able to change the color of the PopSocket or mount it using the optional add-on. br>br>I'm very happy with the appearance; it's matte and colorful, and it matches my blue phone, which is protected by a clear case. I didn't expect it to be as useful as it has been, but now I can keep my phone propped up at all times and have the added security of not dropping it. br>br>The most important factor is where you place it, as this determines the PopSocket's overall functionality. You should be able to re-do it, in my opinion. It's a good idea to stick the disc up to three times.

This is a great way to improve your phone's hold
4/5

The pop sockets are particularly appealing to me. They adhere extremely well to the smooth surfaces of glass phones or those with non-smooth surfaces. surfaces made of porous plastic They should not be used on cases made of leather or other materials. You might be able to persuade them to stick to those, but attempting to remove them will usually result in the destruction of a leather or material case. You lay them out flat. br>br> I strongly advise you to observe how you hold your phone and position the pop button so that it is naturally between two of your fingers. It sticks extremely well, so make sure you get it right the first time because it's difficult to remove once it's in place. It's possible that this location isn't exactly in the middle of your phone. It's all right. It's more important to put it where your fingers will be able to grip it. Don't be fooled by advertisements that claim you can remove it to use wireless charging. You can, but after a few removals, you'll probably be left with no stick. They claim that by closing the pop button and rotating the top, you can get rid of the image on them. I've never been able to get one to work to replace an image because they never seem to come apart for me, even when I follow their instructions. But that's also a good thing because it means it won't fall apart in your hands. br>br>Once the button is installed, pull it out to its full length and wrap your fingers around it. While the phone can still fall out of your hand if you don't grasp it, it gives you a better grip that is less likely to slip. I have an LG Wing phone. The entire front and back of the building is made of glass. It looks great, but it's a nightmare to hold on to, especially if I need to remove the second screen. I used to drop this glass phone several times a day because it was so slippery before these buttons (which I also use on other phones, both now and in the past). It finally gave way and fell apart. (It's a good thing I had purchased insurance. ) ) All of the cases and screen protectors that were made for it either ruined the phone's appearance or prevented it from opening as easily as it was intended. My fingers now act as end stops for the phone's movements, thanks to the addition of the pop button. No more slipping from my grasp and crashing to the hard ground beneath. br>br>However, if you fall asleep with your phone in your hand or if something falls on your hand, you'll probably need something more radical, such as a Love Handle strap. Even with this button, if you let go of your grip, the phone will fall. I did, however, try the straps. Even a few seconds of cutting off blood circulation to your fingers causes them to hurt. These Pop buttons allow you to loosen and change your grip on a regular basis without cutting off blood flow to your fingers, as straps do. br>br>Another application for these Pop buttons. If you don't have a case with a built-in kickstand, you'll need to buy one. These Pop buttons can be extended and even popped into a 45-degree angle to allow your phone to sit upright in landscape mode while watching videos or other media. Now, if you placed the button on the far side of a large phone, it might not be very stable. If you want to use this feature on a long phone, try to place the button about halfway down the middle. If you find that you use your phone in portrait mode the majority of the time, you can position the Pop button closer to the top rather than the center to improve portrait viewing. My friend has two Pop buttons installed on his extremely large phones/tablets, allowing him to use them as stands for landscape or portrait viewing. br>br>As previously stated, I have never been able to replace the top images as they claim. I've had several of these and have never been able to follow the instructions for removing or replacing the tops. br>br>Pop buttons usually last for a year or more, depending on how frequently they are opened or collapsed. Because this is a folding rubber product, the less you open and close it, the longer it will last. If the rubber cracks or the glue no longer adheres to the phone, it's time to replace it. Also, if you keep pulling them off the phone or case, the adhesive won't last very long. That part of their advertisement about removing them for use with chargers and other devices is simply not true. After two or three reinstalls, the insulation will no longer hold up as well as it once did. One of these letting go of the phone while you're holding it is the absolute last thing you want. Plan where you'll put it on your case or phone back and where you'll keep it once it's installed. I took away a star because of their removal statements, which border on false advertising. Even if the phone is collapsed and installed, some wireless chargers will still charge it. This Pop button may prevent you from using a wireless charger at all if your wireless charger is picky about how your phone is placed in it or if it frequently stops charging. Because every wireless charger and phone is different, your mileage may vary. br>br>If you hold your phone with the Pop button for long periods of time, you may experience sore fingers at first because fingers do not have tough skin between them. So, similar to when you use a pencil or pen for a long time, you may develop some callousing of the two fingers the Pop button rubs and presses against. After those fingers callous up a bit, you won't notice. Last but not least, don't expect these Pop buttons to keep your phone from breaking or cracking. You will, without a doubt, be able to keep your phone in your hand. Even with these Pop buttons installed, you'll almost certainly want to use a plastic case and a screen protector. Pop buttons aren't a good enough way to protect your phone's glass surfaces. It simply improves your grip on the phone.
