A case was needed after I upgraded from an iPhone 4S to an iPhone XS Max. It's my brother's birthday today! When I bought the 4S, my lawyer recommended OtterBox to me because I needed a case that could withstand heavy duty use in the construction industry. My habits are such that whenever I find a brand that I like, I tend to stay loyal to that brand. I therefore purchased another Defender Series case for my new purchase. It's a huge improvement over the previous case, I must say. My first observation is that the case's surface material is MUCH more durable than my previous one, although I have only been using it for a short time. My previous one was too soft to use, and ended up tearing, so I needed to purchase a replacement that was much better. Unlike the old one, the new one will not have this issue, as the material feels very high quality and provides a good grip. As well, everyone ends up buying screen protection when they get a new phone, and my previous OtterBox came with screen protection built in to the case, which did not perform as well as the one that I bought. There is no screen protection on the NEW DEFENDER SERIES Case. Adding this to the list is a plus! You can also purchase your OWN screen protectors, given that three are usually included in one purchase. To replace the damaged screen protection, simply change it out with a new one if it gets abused or damaged! Unlike screen protection mounted permanently to the case, which is inflexible and can not be removed in the event of damage, you are no longer bound to it! The product does what it claims to do, so I highly recommend it!.

As soon as I assembled the case onto my phone, the belt clip broke into three pieces and snapped off. Unless you have a very good grasp on the phone, I am very lucky I was able to catch the phone before it fell to the ground because the rotation mechanism on the phone is so poorly designed that you could easily have the phone case snap off and fall off at any time. After snapping, it would have fallen to the ground if I hadn't been wearing a long sweatshirt that it hung up on after snapping. In the process of catching it, I saw a BB fall out of the case onto the ground, which I could not find after a twenty-minute hunt, so I did not think I could return it. In the event that the belt clip breaks and, as a result, you lose your phone if it falls off during walking over soft soil, you may not realize that the clip has broken.

As with my other OtterBox cases I have purchased in the past for my other phones, this case is equally rugged and reliable. Initially I was somewhat disappointed to find out that OtterBox no longer offers an option to purchase an OtterBox case with a front cover, however I'm now set with the Alpha Glass. I do have one complaint with this case, and that is that in my experience the case is not compatible with wireless charging even though the website claims After using the case for just a couple days, each night when I set it on my charger, it begins to charge, but after a bit it just stops and I see a yellow light on the I now know that if I take the phone out of the rubber case and lay it on top of my charger with my phone in it, it seems to charge just fine. I'm deciding whether to return the case and get something different or to just continue charging with a lightning cable.

As of now, it has a 1 star rating. This has a clip cover, which made me want to buy it. It was important to me to get an authentic one, so I spent the extra money. A few days after the clip broke, it failed once more. The only thing I did was what I always do. My favorite use for it is as a stand while I watch movies. One day it just popped out of my pocket as I After seeing what I thought was a hair, something else appeared out of nowhere. This is found on the left of the screen, near the corner. It was part of the case and as I pulled it off, it got bigger. Because it was part of the case, I simply pulled it off. In fact, it would have been no problem for me to cut it off if I knew it was part of the case. After clicking on help, their website is referring me to and providing their phone number.
