Questions & Answers
Without built-in protection, how does the glass stay safe?
Raised bezels also help, but tempered glass would be preferable to the built-in plastic screen protector they used previously for additional protection against drops and scratches.
Is it possible to use a wireless charger with this?
Yes, as long as there isn't a pop socket in the way. If that's the case, you'll have to take it off before you use the wireless charger. It took me a long time to figure it out.
Is there a way to take off the belt clip?
Yes. It is something I do not use. This is a front cover.
Is it possible to use the otterbox defender series with an iPhone XR?
Yes! This is the OtterBox Defender Series, which was created with the iPhone Xr in mind.

If you don't have a screen protector, don't be concerned
This is much better. Get one that is made of glass. Sure, there's no screen protector included, but what's the big deal? The old Defenders screen protectors were a pain to use. The screen protector was easily scratched, leaving a rainbow/oil slick mark right under it. I used to rip them out and put a screen protector on them anyway, so this is ideal for me. Does it add any bulk? Yes, but it isn't that bad for me. Let's face it, no matter what case you use, the XR is a large phone. The included belt holster is useful for keeping the screen safe. I used to throw old cases in my pocket and they quickly became scratched. As a result, the holster is my preferred method of carrying. It won't slip out of my hand or off my pant leg if it's resting there, thanks to the good grip. The buttons are a little stiff, but not in a way that will prevent you from doing anything. The ports have been protected. Overall, there aren't many cases for this phone right now, so this one is the best out of all the ones I tried; don't worry about the lack of built-in screen protection; it's for the best because the defenders I've had that are new no longer offer it. br>For the XR, I use the spigen screen protectors, which come in a two-pack. It's a simple application that's also nice and clear. That's the combination I'm working with right now. Give it a shot; you might be surprised.

The screen and camera are surrounded by thick bumpers
The width of the phone has been significantly increased, and it now feels almost too large for me, but it still provides excellent coverage for the back camera. The old case I had only had a few hairs of clearance between the lens and the case, and if it fell, it would have cracked. It's half the price of what you'd find in stores, and it'll work for my job as a truck driver.

All of the reviews that said it was difficult to install or that it broke your screen protector were either written by people who had never used an Otter Box before or by people who misaligned their screen protector
Use the guide plate to ensure a perfect fit when installing a tempered glass screen protector. Otherwise, it may protrude and get caught in the case when you wear it. To separate the phone case, use a credit card to remove the rubber backing and pop the clips. After that, it's a simple matter of snapping everything back together. It probably took me no more than 90 seconds to complete.

Review of the Otterbox Defender for iPhone XR
To begin, I'll go back to the Otterbox Defender for the iPhone 3 and other similar cases since then, such as the Lifeproof Fre for the iPhone 6 and 7 plus, and now the iPhone XR. br>br>As of now, the rating is 2. The excellent quality of this case is not reflected in the 5 stars on 7 reviews. It's understandable that some people expected a screen protector, but that doesn't justify a one-time purchase. a 5-star rating br>br>I bought the Defender from Amazon. For $45CAD, it's a good deal. Yes, CAD. That was a fantastic offer. The Big Sur (green) color option is now $76. br>br>As previously stated, this is an excellent case that feels great in the hand; however, if you want a thinner case with great protection (based on my experience with the Lifeproof Fre for the 7 Plus), there are other options such as the Lifeproof Fre (which as of this writing isn't available yet). I don't mind the bulk because I value security above all else. As for drops, I'm usually pretty careful with my phone, so hopefully I won't have to worry about that. I can't comment on how the Defender will protect if the phone is dropped, but the Fre did a good job of protecting the 7 Plus when it was dropped once or twice, so the Defender should do the same. br>br>I was debating between the Defender and the Fre for the XR, and in the end, I decided that tempered glass would be the better screen protector - and make the screen clearer (which it appears to be) - If the shield on the 7 plus Fre case is any indication, it will be better than the plastic shield on the Fre. Using Moko's tempered glass, which is exceptionally clear and simple to install. Was planning on purchasing Invisible Shield for four times the price of the Moko, but decided to give the Moko a try instead, and it appears to be working fine so far. I'm not sure how they differ. So the Defender Moko glass costs $56CAD compared to the Lifeproof glass, which costs around $80CAD. After factoring in the cost of tempered glass on the Defender (which is $76 at the time of writing), pricing between the two could be comparable. br>br>If I had one complaint, it would be the charging port flap, which feels like it might wear out over time, or maybe it's just tight to begin with and will loosen up over time. br>br>However, I did purchase the Mophie Qi wireless charging base, so I won't have to worry about the charging port flap unless I need a charge while out and about without the Mophie. I can confirm that the XR Defender case and the Mophie wireless charger are compatible. Maybe the other reviewer who had trouble with wireless charging was using a different charger. But it does work 100% with the Mophie yes it does work 100% with the Mophie yes it does work.

GIANT! It is not worth it! I got it just now
I put it on my phone after arriving a day late, and it's huge. Doubles the phone's thickness, making it difficult to hold in one hand or slip into a pocket. It was not worth the money I paid for it, and I would return it if I didn't have to pay for shipping. Unless you have enormous hands, go for something thinner. Also, unlike the old otterbox defender series cases, it does not come with a screen protector.
