This adapter can split the audio signal to both pairs of stereo speakers if two pairs of powered speakers are connected. If you connect two powered speakers to this adapter, you'll get the same signal from both (left channel only), which means you'll miss out on all of the sound from the right channel. You'll need a stereo to two mono splitter if your setup is similar to the one I just described. This splitter converts two stereo signals into one stereo signal.
After about a week of use, I haven't noticed anything. I'm not an expert on sound or speakers in general, but this splitter makes my speakers and headphones sound great, and I can't tell the difference from before I used it.
It will, in fact.
Yes, each of the two connections receives two channels of stereo through the cord.

It doesn't work the way you'd expect it to. This item is a headphone output splitter that allows two pairs of headphones to listen to the same audio source from a single 3. Headphones with a 5 mm connector are available. br>br>Logically, it should also work the other way around, right? If I wanted two different inputs to converge on a single input port, it should work exactly the same and, in theory, should not affect the quality of the input signals in the same way that splitting a single headphone output to two outputs allegedly does not affect the quality of the output. br>br>However, this has not been my experience. However, I believe it is necessary to provide a more detailed description of my setup in order for you to determine whether or not this review is relevant to you and your use case. br>br>I tried using this product at my computer desk, where I play PC games and occasionally some console games on my computer monitor with a nice set of computer speakers. br>br>I use a FiiO E10K DAC/AMP combo as my sound output device for gaming on my PC, with the DAC/AMP's line out port connected to the back of my speakers' input jack. br>br>I use the monitor's line out and connect it to the AUX port on the front of my speakers when playing console games on my monitor. Although this is perfectly adequate, I believe it would be more elegant to have both the DAC/AMP and the monitor's line out feed into the single input port on the back of the speakers. br>br>So I'm using this splitter in an input port; if it doesn't affect sound quality when used on an output port, it should have no effect when used on an input port, right?br>br>But that's not the case. The sound quality is reduced by half when both the monitor and the DAC/AMP are connected to the splitter. It's only half as loud and clear as it used to be. When I disconnect only one of the devices from the splitter, the quality returns to normal. br>br>I was disappointed, but not altogether surprised. I've used splitters before with similar results, but I was hoping that investing in a high-quality splitter would be a better investment. The outcome would be different if the reviewed product was used, but it wasn't. br>br>As a result, I can't say whether this would work for the stated purpose. If I had to make a guess, I'd say it doesn't. br>br>It's also a shame because the construction quality is excellent. It has a solid feel to it and is made of high-quality materials. It simply does not perform the functions that I require.
This is how I split the signal between desktop speakers and a subwoofer on a computer. I had previously purchased a splitter from a chain store for more than twice the price of this U-shaped splitter. The cable is green in color. I could occasionally hear crackling and distortion, indicating that the sound quality was poor. I chose this cable from U-verse to replace that dreadful splitter. As a previous U-turn, green is the color of choice. I got a good deal on green cable. This splitter did its job and became undetectable, as there is no difference in sound with or without it. The U- Green cables appear to be of excellent quality and are reasonably priced. Plating connectors are solid and provide a secure connection, as well as sounding good. It is highly recommended.
This did exactly what it claimed to do. When two separate powered devices were connected, I didn't notice any difference in sound quality loss. I connected two sets of powered Bose Companion 2 Series II speakers at the same volume level, and the sound quality was identical in both. It worked fine on two different brands of earphones, and the same devices and method worked fine on the Metal Silver as well. There isn't any distinction. (I had placed an order for both the Metal Silver and the Metal Black. ) br>br>The durability and material quality appeared to be sufficient for a long period of time. It does not appear to be made of low-quality materials. As time goes on, the review could change. If anything changes, I'll let you know. br>br>Note to Self: What I've noticed is that the majority of these audio splitter cables appear to be "designed" for devices that already have their own sound controls. Without it, you're reliant solely on the main device's volume control, which, in my opinion, can lower the volume level to the connected output devices. That is, at least, my personal experience has been. br>br>Once again, my opinion is based on my own personal experience with the item(s) in question. I'm not an audiophile, so I can't give you professional advice; instead, I can only give you my personal opinion.
The headphones connected to the jack on the speakers caused a lot of static, so I bought this splitter so I could run headphones and powered, external speakers from the rear jack of my PC at the same time. Because the plug on my headphones is starting to wear out, I wanted to be able to switch from my speakers to my headphones without having to plug and unplug them in the front jack. When I use the headphones, I simply turn off the speakers and leave both plugged in at all times. br>br>The headphones have no static when connected to the splitter. Both the headphones and the speakers produce sound from both sides. I'm not sure how well the wires on the splitter would hold up if they were moved around a lot with a laptop, tablet, or phone, but I won't have to worry about that because they won't be. The plugs on the speakers and headphones are secure, and the splitter's plug is secure in the jack on my computer.
We were able to watch the same movie on multiple devices, which allowed us to bring fewer electronics on our trip. They are extremely simple to use, and the sound quality is excellent! They certainly delivered on my expectations! These are fantastic, especially if you're traveling with someone else!.
On a plane, I've used it a few times. When I travel with someone and want to watch a video on a phone or laptop, this is a great device to have because we can each wear a full set of headphones and hear the device (fancy headphones with controls won't work; you'll have to control play/pause, volume, etc. on the device). I didn't think the sound quality was bad, but I'm not a picky person. This purchase has made me extremely happy.
