Attached are some benchmarks. After being formatted to exFAT, this 256GB microSD card now has 235GB of usable space. The sequential read/write speed was 95/75 MB/s on average. write after a series of CrystalDiskMark runs with random access times of around 7/2. 5 MB/s. This falls within the advertised U3 / V30 specifications, making it suitable for use with DSLRs and video cameras. After reformatting my Nintendo Switch, I can confirm that it works as well. As a benchmark I've attached screenshots of the capacity verification process.
The description states that it has a read speed of 80MB/s (which is reasonable) and a write speed of "up to 20MB/s," so they're at least upfront about the write speed. In fact, my tests revealed a wide range of write speeds. The first time I tested it, it was around 40MB/s, which is double what they advertise for the card; however, the second and third times I tested it, it was 30MB/s and 24MB/s, respectively. I'm not sure what's going on there, but when I remove the card and re-insert it, it works fine. The write speed increased to 40MB/s after I inserted it. Overall, the Micro Center Premium microSDXC card (blue and white) is one of the fastest cards I've ever seen for the money, with read and write speeds consistently clocking in at 90MB/s and 85MB/s, respectively. Finally, it isn worth saving 5 to get write speeds that are up to 70% slower than other SD cards in the sub category of the sub-category of the sub-category of other SD card The price range is $30.
I bought three of these for our Nintendo Switches in the family. Both the traditional and Lite versions perform flawlessly. It does necessitate an OS update, but it was quick and painless. Very quick to move data and install directly to card. br>With the provided adapter, I'll be able to quickly remove the card and copy the screenshots and clips to my computer. My Animal Crossing photos can now be used as the background for Zoom meetings. Yup. This, my friends, is the new standard. br>br>Anyway, fantastic deal, excellent product, and simple to use.
I couldn't pass it up, though, because of the low price and positive reviews. My Nintendo Switch has had this MicroSD card in it since I bought it in October, and it is always docked. My Switch said it couldn't find my SD Card this morning when I turned it on, so I unloaded it and discovered it was broken in half. When I looked into cheap high-capacity MicroSD cards, it appears that when they get hot, they can become brittle, resulting in cracks like this. My game saves and data are both on my computer. This is the last time I'll use this brand. From now on, it'll only be SanDisk and Samsung for me. Make sure you don't make the same blunder that I did.
I've been using the green Samsung u3 cards for about two years and they've performed admirably in my other '4k' cameras. According to the insta360 one x, v30 cards are required. The green Samsung u3s stopped recording and gave a write speed error when they were run. I was able to record about 8 hours (400gb) of data to this one without any issues. When compared to the Sandisk 256 v30, which costs $55, this is an excellent deal. Just in case, I ordered a backup. In a year, I hope this still works. If something goes wrong, I'll post an update:.
0. Nougat number two to seven 2 and decided to go with a 256GB microSD card instead of the 64GB that Samsung claims is the maximum storage capacity for this phone. It works! Will this work with other phones than my old S4 Mini, which is now running Nougat and has a 256GB card? I have no idea. br>br>UPDATE: 8/9/19 This 256GB card was found to be incompatible with the S4 Mini after extensive testing. Even 10GB chunks were properly written, but the phone became extremely unstable. So I installed it in my girlfriend's J3 Luna Pro and it's working perfectly.
Crystal Diskmark tests revealed that when transferring a 256GB image to this card, the initial data flowed at 70 MB/s. However, after a short period of time, the data flow slowed to between 18 and 28 megabits per second. During the 256GB image transfer, my Samsung 256 card maintains a speed of over 70MB/s. This suggests that an SLC cache exists to speed up normal use, but that these caches eventually fill up and must be bypassed. As a result, a transfer that would normally take 50 minutes on a better card now takes three hours! Get a better Sandisk or Samsung card by spending the extra $5.
I used it on hikes with my Yi 4k video camera and got an error while filming. I lost my footage because the camera kept giving me errors and I was unable to recover it. Fortunately, I was able to save a portion of my prized hiking trip. This memory card did not impress me; I should have trusted my instincts and spent a little more money on better cards. Don't squander your time with low-quality cards.
