Questions & Answers

Is this a mlc or a tlc product?

TLC is Samsung's marketing bs. SLC is what you want. Wikipedia mlc and slc are less robust than "S" single layer. Go to the mouser website to purchase the industrial sd micro cards, which last 10 times longer and can be rewritten "at least" 10 times. You'll never buy another MLC for high-use sd cards like Dash Cams if you go down the SLC rabbit hole again. Get one for your phone as well, and you'll never have to worry about your data again. Dash cams, on the other hand, are likely to last about 5 years. 10yrs. Depending on how long your daily commute is and whether or not you have nightly parking surveillance turned on. The term "high endurance" refers to a marketing strategy rather than a physical technical distinction.

What distinguishes this from a card that isn't classified as "high endurance"?

David D. is correct, and I agree with him. However, my experience with a Waylens 360 dash cam has led me to believe that the manufacturer specifically recommends Samsung Ultra High Endurance sd cards. I started with a 64 GB card, which lasted for 7 months. That's actually quite good, because the camera records when the car is turned off and parked for up to two weeks. It wakes up and records when it is moved or shocked, and it does so whenever the car is turned on. I just spent around $ 35 on a 128 GB Samsung card. 00, with a 14-month lifespan in mind. Because of the beating the camera takes from heat, cold, sunlight, vibration, and other factors, choose a Samsung or Sony Ultra Heavy Duty dash cam.

Is this micro SD card compatible with the Vantrue N2 Pro dash camera?

In my case, I was unable to make it work.

Is this something that would be useful in a Samsung 8+?

Certainly, I could be of assistance. In cases where video is recorded and overwritten frequently, the high endurance aspect is primarily for a lot of writing and rewriting. for a dash cam or a drone, for example. It's designed for more abrasive environments. Water- and shock-resistant You don't need a lot of endurance if you're just using it to store photos that you don't delete frequently and take more photos. The read/write speeds on this card are around 20MB/s, whereas other cards can be much faster. especially in terms of read speeds If you don't require "endurance" SD cards, you have far more options. Finally, because these endurance SD cards are used in drones that crash, they are easier to recover than regular SD cards.

DR900S by BLACKVUE
5/5

YES! Please read the following information carefully. Here is my experience with the SanDisk 256GB High Endurance Video microSDXC Card. br>br>I currently have a Blackvue DR900S 2CH dashcam system installed with a Samsung EVO 128GB SD Card, which has served me well for over a year and has consistently provided me with high-quality footage. I wanted to upgrade to a larger capacity, longer-lasting SD card without spending a fortune. Summers in Minnesota can be extremely hot and humid. In the winter, the cabin of my car gets very hot and very cold. I needed a High Endurance SD card that could withstand the harsh Minnesota winters. br>br>I read a lot of reviews on a lot of SD products and looked at everything Amazon had to offer before deciding on this SanDisk 256GB High Endurance Video microSDXC Card, and I was skeptical because of the low reviews. I took a chance because other vendor sites were selling this particular 256GB card for around the same price, and I like Amazon's return policy, so I went for it. br>br>Now it's time for the review. The first thing to note is that this SD card is pre-formatted with "exFAT. " "Blackvue dashcams do not support this factory format. " I tried for hours to get this 256GB SD card adapter to read in multiple Windows 10 laptops, but it wouldn't. Please keep in mind "Windows 10. " " To be sure I wasn't going insane, I inserted the 256GB SD card into an android device. " My Android device read the SD card and validated the storage. So now. Knowing it worked, I took a chance and booted up an old laptop running Windows 7. I was surprised to see that the SanDisk 256GB High Endurance Video microSDXC Card had loaded and that I could see the drive!! I don't own any Mac products, so I can't say for sure if this will be available on Mac. I'm not sure how well it would work on a Mac. br>br>As soon as I saw the drive while it was plugged into my Windows 7 laptop, I used RidgeCorp's FAT32FORMAT GUI to format it to FAT32. It's worth noting that you'll need to close all of the windows that show the drive. You should only see your desktop and the RidgeCorp FAT32FORMAT GUI. If you try to format the drive to FAT32 otherwise, you'll get an error saying it's still in use. I did a quick format and was ready to rock in seconds. I plugged it into my Blackvue DR900S and it turned on! The camera formats the card just like any other new SD card, and I haven't noticed any quality loss when switching from my Samsung EVO 128GB card to this one. During 4K playback, I didn't notice any stuttering. br>br>I truly hope that this saves the next person who buys this or any other SD card for their dashcam system a lot of time and trouble. For my 2CH dashcam system, having 250 GB of storage is a huge plus.

Requesting a warranty from SanDisk is difficult - I strongly advise against using it! After 5 weeks of use, this SanDisk card failed! br>br>Having said that, I despise SanDisk's website registration process!br>br>To give you an idea of how bad it is, most people are aware that a MicroSD card is about the size of your little fingernail
3/5

You'll need a magnifying glass to read the SanDisk Serial Number, which is all twelve digits long. br>br>Even worse, their website! br>br>In order to properly register the product, you must make five different selections - This is after you submitted your information only to be told that you needed to make another choice. Again, it is not a simple or user-friendly procedure. People are unlikely to go through the time-consuming process of registering their MicroSD card!br>br>Okay, the 256 GB card that was sent to me failed after a few weeks. It was pointless to contact SanDisk customer service - They stated that a product return email would be sent. Before they sent an email, I called them several times. Calling Amazon customer service was a waste of time; they simply redirected you to SanDisk! br>br>The link in the email will redirect you to SanDisk's website. which will request information about the product as well as the serial number. I'd like to direct the reader's attention to the first few paragraphs. SanDisk makes it difficult once again. br>br>Now, in order to receive warranty on a failed card, the product must be registered. SanDisk, once again, does not make this process simple. After that, you must submit a photo of your purchase receipt. So, if Amazon sends you a receipt, save it because you'll need it later. Then, in order to receive warranty, you must send clear photos of the MicroSD card's front and back to SanDisk. Use a strong magnifying glass and your cell phone to capture a clear image of the MicorSD serial number, then blow it up and crop it. Send it to SanDisk after that. and see if SanDisk (Western Digital) will back up their product!br>br>Also, keep in mind that you will be repeating yourself while speaking with SanDisk. They'll also remind you that your Dash Cam will only work with High Endurance MicroSD cards. I'm not sure why they felt the need to tell me that because that is exactly what I ordered; I've been doing it that way; That's the reason why it didn't work; and it is for this reason that I am attempting to obtain a warranty replacement. br>br>Once again, SanDisk does not make things simple! br>br>Why is it so crucial for me to write a review about this? I wouldn't have known the SanDisk MicroSD card had failed if it hadn't been for checking the Dash Cam. In other words, it is unreliable, and you will have no way of knowing if it will work in the event of an accident. br>br>Just something to consider before ordering this item!.

Keep your distance from me
3/5

I'm not sure about these cards' legitimacy or authenticity, but the 128GB card I received was dead right out of the box. Only 30 are displayed in Windows across multiple computers. The capacity is only 6MB (not to mention nowhere near a GB). In several dash cams, the card did not initialize or was not recognized. br>br>This is one to stay away from, possibly due to the seller. Who knows, and it's deserving of a return.

This product is incompatible with BlackVue
3/5

This was flagged as a failure right away by Blackvue dashcam. Because they check if the SD card is good, Blackvue cameras are the most dependable on the market. With them, you should use SLC memory. I had hoped that because this was "high endurance," they would also provide good memory, but it seemed too good to be true.

If you format the drive to FAT32 before using it, the dash cam will work
5/5

If you format the card to FAT32 before using it in a dash cam (Blackvue dr900s), it works great. Format the partition in the window with the software (MiniTool Partition Wizard).
