Questions & Answers

So, what are your plans for this? Do you simply dampen the brush and swirl it around in the container, or do you pour some of the product into a separate bowl with some water? It would be extremely helpful if someone could provide more specific information. ?

Yes, you simply soak your brush for a few minutes and shake out most of the water before swirling (or loading) it on the puck in the Proraso container for 15 minutes. It takes about 45 seconds. You have a few options once you've loaded the brush with soap: Face lathering (swirling the brush directly on your face), hand lathering (swirling the brush in the palm of your hand and then applying to your face), or bowl lathering (swirling the brush in the palm of your hand and then applying to your face). To make a lather, you'll need to gradually add water to each method. Swirling the brush creates a rich lather by aerating the soap and water. However, there is a sweet spot that will most likely require some practice to achieve the desired level of slickness and cushion (personal preference). It can be excessively dry or excessively moist. You can find several videos by searching for "wet shaving" or "how to lather shaving soap." Also, on YouTube, there's a guy named Mantic59 who has a whole series about wet shaving. Because the soap lasts a long time, you could just play around with it for a while and figure it out. A picture, on the other hand, can convey a thousand words. I hope this has been of assistance. Have a pleasant day and a pleasant shave.

Is this a hard soap puck or one that lathers up like a cream?

It's not as hard as a puck, and you can push your finger through it, but it's not as latherable as a cream. This is the only thing I'll use from now on; I'm in love with it. Both pucks and creams were used.

Is it possible to replace the puck in the container?

Sure, if a similar-sized and-shaped replacement puck is available. However, the cost of a new container and puck on the internet is so low that I'm not sure why I'd bother. Take a look around because prices vary a lot.

What does this smell like? (If necessary, compare it to something else, but don't just say "good"). thanks! ?

Proraso white, I believe, has a rose-like scent. It has a clean, fresh scent that reminds me of roses. Others have different ideas about what it smells like, but I think it smells like roses, which I really like.

Men aren't the only ones! I'm a 40-year-old woman who's made the switch to shaving soaps
5/5

After years of canned foam, it was time to give it a brush. My favorite is the Proraso green soap/croap, which is very similar to the white. Both are more of a "croap" (a mix of hard cream and soft cream). Instead of a hard puck of soap, use a liquid soap. With a wet badger or boar brush, it lathers up like crazy. If you're new to wet shaving or having trouble making lather, look up the "Marco method" on the internet. You won't be sorry), and it gives you a nice, close, irritation-free relationship. Shave for free with a lot of thick, stable lather. I start by lathering directly on the soap in the plastic Proraso bowl, then proceed to the leg. I've also used this to make a separate bowl lather, which worked well. I leave the lid off for a couple of hours after each use to allow the soap to dry (I shave in the shower). Store my soap there (there will be a lot of water) and then close the lid. There is a slight menthol aftertaste to the white. It has a similar feel to the green, but it isn't nearly as strong. The white, in my opinion, has a light rose scent. grass that has been freshly cut It's light and airy, and I believe it's the most "feminine" of the green, red, and blue options. Proraso soaps in white. Overall, I'm very happy with this soap, and I've already bought it twice.

I've had much better results with the tube cream
3/5

To begin, I'd like to state that Proraso is of high quality. I gave it three stars because, in my opinion, it does not perform as well as tube-based shave creams. I have a tube of Proraso, but I wanted to try this, and the razor glides much better with the cream, and I get a much better shave. Also, from reading all of the reviews and tips on how to use this soap, many users say to swirl the brush directly in the container to start a lather, and then transfer to another bowl to finish the lather. This is what I came up with, and it works well, but it's only a 2 because of that. I don't want to go through a step-by-step process. I prefer to apply cream directly to the brush from a tube, then lather in a shaving bowl. And if you're wondering whether this is a hard puck or a cream, the answer is a little complicated. between. It isn't as hard as a traditional bar of soap, but it isn't a cream either. It's solid enough that you could take it out of the bowl and hold it in your hand, then return it to the bowl without wiping any residue from your hand.

For everyday shaves, this is a reasonably priced soap
4/5

I was looking for a reasonably priced soap to use on a daily basis. I save my artisan stock for special occasions because, you know, I'm not made of money. It's actually quite nice for a mass-produced soap, and it loads well, though stiffer brushes work better than softer brushes. It has a pleasant scent that lasts a long time. I'd say the slickness is average, and the cushion is adequate. Is this the world's greatest soap opera? Nope. Is this a good performer for the money? Without a doubt. One of the benefits of this soap over Proraso's tube creams is that it has a better post-shave; I'm not sure why, but it is definitely more moisturizing and has a better finish. This is their formula for sensitive skin (which I have). ) First and foremost, a preshave is required; I use an oil, but you could use theirs instead. This soap will perform better if you preshave and prepare it properly. This soap is still too drying for me without a preshave treatment, but it has some good antibacterial properties. properties that are anti-inflammatory.

The quality is excellent
4/5

Since switching exclusively to Taylor of Old Bond Street, I thought I'd give something new a try. The white container/fragrance Proraso, which is the first scent I've tried from them, is of exceptional quality. Oatmeal and green tea sounded like pleasant scents, though they're a little more subtle than I'm used to from ToOBS. I should also mention that when I used it, it always seemed to give me a very cool feeling, which was very pleasant. It took a little more product to make the same amount of lather as Taylor, and it wasn't as thick, but it gave me a very clean, pleasant shave with no irritation or nicks (I used a new Dorco blade, which I'd never tried before). I wish I could give it a 4 out of 5 star rating. I'm giving it a 5 instead of a 4 or 5 star rating because I think it's a fantastic product that deserves it, but I'm not giving it the same 5/5 as my St. James Collection ToOBS because it's just not quite there yet. This container of Proraso white, on the other hand, was almost half the price at only $10, and it's a fantastic shaving cream in its own right. This is a product that I would strongly recommend.

This is an excellent soap
4/5

This is the first time I've used Proraso products. This is the first time I've used shaving soap. When it comes to shaving and skin care, I do a lot of research online, watch videos, ask friends, and so on. I'm 38 years old and have used a variety of products throughout my life; my favorite wet shave cream is Jack Black Supreme Cream, which I first discovered in 2009. I've used other shaving creams in the past, but I found that this one, despite its higher price, is of excellent quality. br>br>This shaving soap is now very effective. When used properly, I was able to achieve a thick lather. It has a thick consistency and a high viscosity. The razor glides smoothly and doesn't get clogged up. I can see why so many people use it and why it has such a large fan base. Many people are curious about how it reacts to sensitive skin. I haven't noticed a difference between this shaving cream and the others I've tried. It does not irritate or cause redness when used, as far as I can tell. I was so impressed with this product that I purchased C. Proraso's Bigelow shaving cream is comparable to, if not better than, Proraso's Bigelow shaving cream. That may be biased because I've always used creams, but don't let that stop you from trying this product; I'm very happy with it and plan to use it for months. I'm guessing it'll last a year because there's so much soap. If you're on the fence about using soaps, I recommend giving this one a shot.
