In my practice as an aromatherapist, I use both the massage table and the oil along with the oils. It is a favorite of all of my clients. Besides being the right size and shape, it is also very convenient. A lot of work has been put into it and it is quite durable. You can wipe it off easily (I use Young Living's Thieves oil). I am hoping to buy another in the future, when I have an office of my own.
It doesn't seem likely to be effective. It is important to alleviate the tension on the nerve itself. If that doesn't work, you can press a rubber ball (not a tennis ball) right into the sciatic nerve. The soft ball helps reduce stress on the nerve by allowing the neck muscles to relax. Try rolling it against a wall or your legs to reduce pain.

There is no question that I should have spent more time researching this product, but even for what it is meant to be used for, it really isn't sturdy. A bolster that would retain its shape under pressure was what I was looking for. The Pillow you see here is just a cylindrical pillow and it is very cheap as well. You probably wouldn't feel the same as I do if that's what you're looking for. As you can probably already tell, I dislike this beast. Trying to return it would have cost me over half the purchase price, and I would have had to deal with the hassle on top of it. I'll likely throw it out as soon as I'm done with.
My hopes for this item were not realized since it is not at all sturdy. There is a zipper on it, but the part you hold to unzip is actually facing inside the bolster, and the zipper itself seems delicate. I will never attempt to unzip it because I fear tearing/breaking the zipper. Easily squishable due to its soft texture, the inside foam becomes displaced when weight is applied.
Reviewers are making such inconsistent opinions of this product that I wonder if they are reviewing the same item. The reviewer said it was too large because it was nine inches wide. This is not true. Although the foam is not too hard and not too soft at first, it is likely to soften as time passes. In the meantime, the shape continues to recover well You should clean up after using.
I've used this in my massage practice for less than 2 months, and the mat already flattened and is not going to bounce. The pillow is not supportive enough and will not last, except for the inner cushion, which is still great. My last one from Earthlite lasted 8 years of hard use, and just the cover was fraying around the handle when I had to replace it. I won't be bothering with this one.
I could only feel the pillow flatten out and become It's incredibly comfortable and easy to move around at night since the handle makes it so easy to shift. I've noticed a significant reduction in my back pain since using this bolster so I'm getting a better night's sleep and feeling more refreshed as a result. I highly recommend it.
During the night, I use the bolster when it helps to ease the pain in my back. Despite its firmness, I tend to experience some pressure in the inner thigh area during sleep, but it generally seems to be a great product. I removed the leather casing, bought a pillow case, and attached it to the bed. By doing so, it is much more comfortable and a little more flex in the pillow's firmness is restored.

I am very happy with my purchase. In terms of the price point, this is okay for me. While it would probably not compete with some of the higher-end bolsters sold, at this price point (and even at a slightly higher price point), I believe this is a very nice bolster and does the job well. One star is deducted due to the fact that I do not want to mislead anyone into thinking this is comparable to the bolsters which are twice as much as this one.
