Beware, this is junk! I only had this #1 guard for less than 2 weeks and it already broke. To top it off, I was not able to return the product.
The one attachment we could not live without is this one. In fact, when ours became too worn that it would not fit, we were glad that we could purchase them There is no substitute for a Wahl buzz cutter for close buzz cuts.

I bought things thinking that Hoping for a positive outcome If it fits the clipper, it would be perfect for me. My research on that did not result in that outcome, but I won't deduct points since My guard was the only thing I needed was wary of buying more than I need and didn't want to pay for a whole set as I usually only use one or two of them. In my opinion, I would have been better served by buying the whole set rather than just one, so the price for one seemed a bit steep. The other trimmer I bought did not do the job (I have a surprise for you!!! This guard is used for it, so it must be a spare blade.
This is a replacement guard for the one that comes with my Wahl clipper and I absolutely love it. This original toy was thought to be a tasty chew toy by the dog. In that role, I couldn't tell you if it was any fun, but I can tell you that it does not last very long. With color coded plastic in the original set, it's easy to find in the bag even though the set is all black. I was one of the happiest people ever when I bought this Wahl hair trimmer. It has been used on a monthly basis for over a decade. One of the purple sizing elements broke, which was very disappointing for me . . . but hey, it has been stored in the garage (freezing to well below zero degrees for 10 years). It is so good to see that there is a replacement part for our beloved Although I have used other brands, Wahl is always a staple in our home.
It works great. The beard oil I use works well for me. Changing between the clips on the head and the beard results in the clips breaking or becoming loose because they are plastic. In exchange for their price, they last longer and are more affordable than a haircut.
As opposed to the real Wahl #1 comb, which digs into the skin, this comb can cause scratches to the skin. A Wahl comb's original leading edge is blunt, without sharp points to dig into the skin. It is perfectly smooth where it touches your skin, without cutting into it. With the help of a file, I tried to remove the sharp edge, but to no avail.
