The Norelco QT4070 (now the Norelco 7300), which I replaced three times during the last four years, had been my primary printer. Even though it was amazing, I found the build quality to be very poor and decided to switch to the Remington model instead. Despite the disappointment, I am not dissatisfied! Among the benefits I must mention*br The build quality is much better. Compared to the Remington, the Remington feels much more solid, and the build quality is not a concern. I must mention*br An intense vacuum has been created. There are times when hairs fall from the top of the Norelco. There is a pretty good chance of capturing all hair that drops. I must mention*br Battery life is quite good. We've only had it for two weeks, but it is still doing the job.

In this device, there was an adjustable lever that allowed little changes to be made to the length. In Remington's case, the adapters are 'snap style', which allows for less control and are less convenient. For me, one of the adapters matches my preferred stubble look just perfectly, but I can imagine that folks used to the Oldrelco 7300 may have difficulty getting the perfect length. OVERALL the build quality is good, and the battery holds a charge well. While I would not use it where precision is required, I think many people will be able to use it instead of.

When this clipper arrived, I fell in love with it- I was pleased with how well it worked, it has a good suction power, and it has a decent cutting capacity. I would give it four stars if the clipper still worked however, it would be deducted one star for the vacuum not being strong enough to catch all the hair you're trimming. I was satisfied with it at first, but then a spring broke inside the cutter head, allowing the moving blade to slip beyond the guard and cause me to get cut. When I visited Remington's website to inquire about repair, it directed me to a page that asked for my zip code, then said it was invalid (and every other zip code I tried was valid). My email has been sent to their customer service team, and I am waiting for a response. A hair clipper should not break after using it for four times.

I will update this review if I hear anything from customer service.

Apr 13, 2013 At first, customer service told me this part was not covered by warranty, but then they decided to make an exception and replace it. This new one appears different (a different color and appears to have a nitride coating on the metal and plastic) and has worked fine for a long time. It will be interesting to see what happens. When I bought my first vacuum trimmer in 2012 it was a Philips Norelco QT4070, which died a year later. It was replaced with another QT4070 in 2017, which lasted until now. weak latches on the doors that were supposed to clean out the trimmings from the vacuum function and both of those broke within a month. Tape or rubber bands had been used to hold the door in place. In the past, I have owned a Remington Vacuum haircut clipper and have loved it so I chose to check out their trimmer instead of purchasing a Philips Norelco 7200 Vacuum at double the cost. For the first time in my life, my beard was about 8mm and sometimes went as low as 6mm if I was Almost a week ago, I set the trim on the QT4070 to 8mm. Using the Remington, I set the dial to 6mm, but the barrel didn't seem to cut much, and the parts that it did seemed unevenly cut. This was just received yesterday and I went from having a full head of hair to being bald using this product. I wasn't expecting the cord to be as long as it is. It is extremely hard work overall since they will dig or struggle otherwise. It must be done with a clean angle and you must take your time. Hair went directly into the shaver in 9% of all cases. Was beyond satisfied and impressed and hoped it was all for the best. Repurchasing them will be my next step if and when they need to be replaced.
