Questions & Answers

Does it have an automatic shut-off feature?

The truth is, it Even though other users thought it did not stay on for very long, it stays on for an extremely long time. My prediction is that it will remain on for at least 20 to 30 days The light should be turned off 30 minutes before it goes out. When I went back to use it after forgetting to plug it in, it was off because I forgot I plugged it in.

It's a new flat iron I just got. The plates should be separated by a gap, right? In mine, there is a gradual widening of the gap as you get closer to ?

Once I am at home, I will check mine. However, I think there should be a very slight gap that becomes wider at As you pass hair through it, it will fill in the gap and create a uniform "sandwich" with a very thin layer In the case of a plate that is completely flat, plate-shaped As you put your hair in the plate, you would eventually find that there is a wider gap at the tip as the hinge widens. If you want to remember how to hinge two rulers, lay them flat against each other and then place a row of pencils (your hair) in In order to make sure that both rulers touched all of the pencils when the hinge closed around them, you would have to widen the hinge by the thickness of a pencil (closed, it would taper down to nothing at the tip).

This straightener has been in my daughter's possession for about five Whenever I turn on the machine it displays an error message that just says, "Err, won't turn on". Can anyone suggest a solution?

Paul Mitchell is not to blame for the purchase of Perfect Heart
3/5

I blame the seller. In the past couple of weeks, I had purchased a CHI glider My thick hair didn't do well with either of the products. In addition to returning the two flat irons I already owned, I decided to purchase a Paul Mitchell (a 1 inch) instead of the two cheaper models. There are 25 ions in the Ion- This is my favorite thing to do). My PM came from Perfect Heart and I bought it on When I held my brand new, high-quality flat iron, I was excited, but I was disappointed - I discovered that this flat iron was a reconditioned and defective one. Only one side of the iron warmed up. This seller should not be purchased from.

Things aren't the same as they were
3/5

It took me almost 8 years to replace the Paul Mitchell straightener that I had for almost 8 years. As I ordered another one that had the same name, I ordered this one. The smoothness of the ION is totally different from You can tell that it's cheap by feeling it. Compared to my previous one, this one is considerably lighter in weight. Close the device on your hair and you hear a cheap smack sound, and even the hair is pulled out. It is hard to believe that this is a Paul Mitchell product. It is no different than a $30 hair In return for $125, I expect quality like Paul Mitchell. I am extremely disappointed and would not recommend this product. I can think of one Becomes very hot very quickly.

Person who is not happy! The product I just purchased from Paul Mitchell is not working well it was not functioning well when I first received it but I thought it would not matter, but now I cannot even turn the temperature up to do my hair
3/5

I paid good money for this product and I am extremely dissatisfied. Do you offer any way I can send it back to you for it to be fixed or replaced? There seems to be a melting process going on, but I have no idea how that would be possible. Please.

My favorite part of it! Using an old model of this straightener, I've been switching back and forth with my daughter for years
5/5

There were so many reasons why we wanted to use this system that we didn't want to switch. The straightener finally got replaced after she moved out and was the last to have it. It was a must for me to own this newer model. I like it just as much as the other one, and my favorite part about it is that there is a digital display of the temperature, which shows how quickly the temperature rises. As soon as I used these, I thought there would never be another brand like them. Since I first started using Paul Mitchell flat irons, I've always been incredibly satisfied.

The motor heats up extremely quickly
5/5

It does not take minutes to process. The flat iron is amazing. In seconds, not minutes, it will heat up. A perfect coverage of every angle. Having beveled edges to curl the tips of your hair (if required for a particular style) is a great feature. My hair is not damaged by this iron like it is with It is without a doubt, the best flat iron on the market.

Things didn't go as planned
3/5

It was just a few years back that my hair was left nice and straight after this brand was used on my hair at the salon. I was excited to begin using this flat iron again. The stylist used this one on my hair but the one the shop sold for the same price as mine did. The blades on the one the stylist used on my hair did not have a cushion. The one I had purchased did not have a cushion, which was something I looked forward to because the cushion had the ability to grip my hair and straighten it. As a result of my thick, curly hair, this flat iron did not work As far as I can tell, the temperature only goes as high as 410° F degrees and I think I are going to need at least 425°F degrees to truly For me, to get my straight hair I don't prefer to do it more than twice for each section. With this one I had to do it more than twice for every Flat irons that work well on thin hair may be more effective.

This is the best straightener available
5/5

I was using Chi before finding the Paul Mitchell smooth, and I used the Silver straightener by Paul Mitchell after that. My sisters smooth iron turned out to be amazing, so I thought it would be great until then. When I was a child, my hair was silky. That's why I love this straightener so much. My hair feels so smooth and silky after using it and you can change the temperature to prevent your hair from being burned.

This is an excellent product
3/5

A recent update It has not even been a year yet, and it has stopped That is the second instance of one of these in a row. I can recommend the product when it works, but could not recommend it otherwise. This is my second one, I bought the first one for my daughter for Christmas and I found it to be so good and of such high quality that I had to buy another. I'm thick-haired, as am I, and we seem to be able to manage it well together. You can buy a cheaper type elsewhere that does not work nearly as well as this one!.
