I don't need too much weight added to my fine hair, but I prefer a product that makes my hair look thicker and will also help hold my hair style without adding too much weight. As well as products that make my pixie cut appear to move, I also like products that can help my hair move. I can frame the sides of my face with pieces that stick out, or curve in the opposite direction, or with wispy little pieces. In addition, it adds a bit of shine to the rest of my I always find it difficult finding just the right product. Some thicker pastes that are typically referred to as 'cements' or similar tend to be too tacky and dull, and don't add any shine. Moreover, they tend to be a bit crumbly and hard to work with, as well as not allowing me to create 'pieces' that will stick up and frame my face properly. It has typically been necessary for me to buy two different I would prefer a thicker one. This has more of the consistency and appearance of a paste/cement. On top of that, I also make a product that is more like a liquid cream. The sheen will come from something that's a bit oily. My next step is to place the two products in my palm, rub my hands and fingers together quickly, and then work the products into my hair quickly. After using this product, my hair is still very touchable and silky after a few hours. Neither it feels stiff nor dry to the touch. In addition to making my hair look thicker, adding a nice sheen, and providing definition, it also gives my pixie cut a stylish look with 'movement'. The product has a faint scent, which I would describe as a 'clean' smell. The scent is almost similar to that of a lightly scented soap bar.

I was satisfied. It is worth checking pricing to ensure you are getting a good deal between 3oz and other larger sizes. I have been using this for years, and never had any issues. Make sure to apply when hair is mostly dry, since it doesn't hold up that great when it is still damp. It's usually okay if there's a little moisture on the carpet. As well, make sure you wash it out thoroughly every night if you can, since it tends to smell quite bad When used for the first time, it smells good.
There's no way this product could've been manufactured the same way for years. I used it for years, and now it's a totally different product, with a completely different color, smell, and texture. I find it doesn't work any longer on my hair. I am disappointed.

This is a good product for the price it has a pleasant fragrance and does not smell overwhelming, the shine is about medium as advertised, and it is easy to apply. However, Johnny B claims it holds for 7 out of 10 days. On a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate it a 5. As a result of more hold, I would have given a higher rating, but so far, hold is more or less my number one concern, so I gave it a 3 star rating instead. Street Cream by Johnny B has a stronger hold and is one of my favorite hair products I've tried, though its matte finish is different from.
My hair feels like it's being glued together this last time I got a bottle of it. I don't know if the formula changed or what but this last one feels like glue. It was always fun for my girlfriend to run her fingers through my hair before, but now my hair is dripping sticky tacky. There is no other choice than to keep using it until I find a better product or Johnny B patches.
