Is that how it smells when you first open it? Do you have a strong aversion to certain scents? I didn't notice any odor until now, when I went to smell it. I've only used it once, but it has a light and pleasant scent. Since you said that, I can detect a faint strawberry aroma, but it's more of a light oil scent with a pleasant undertone. Even the oil portion is only there because I was looking for a scent, and it smells exactly like pure argon oil. When I used it, I didn't notice it because I didn't smell it well enough, and I don't notice it when my mother uses it.

Because I'd seen videos on YouTube claiming that the Shea butter version contains rubbing alcohol, I decided to purchase this leave-in. This was intended to be a serious warning and offense to women who are trying to keep their Natural/Curly/Kinky hair moisturized. My hair is Kinky/Curly and extremely delicate, prone to tangles, and quite long, so this is a top priority for me. I don't want to overwork it or invite dryness or knots. That is something it is capable of doing by itself. However, I'm still undecided about this formulation. I will say that it appears to take less conditioner to saturate my hair, and the results are even better than the Shea butter formula. My curls are shiny and defined. There's even less shrinkage this time around! However, for reasons I can't explain, my hair feels a little harder as a result of this. And I have to be a lot more careful with this one, because if I don't thoroughly rub it into my hair, it will leave nasty white clumps that will stick to my hair when it dries. The Shea butter formula dries clear, whereas this one doesn't. And that, my friends, could be the deciding factor. I've discovered that with extra care and smoothing, I can achieve the same clear end result as the Shea butter formula, but I don't always have that kind of time! So I'm giving this three stars. In the future, I might make some changes. Alternatively, I could simply return to the original.
I was in denial that the Cantu co wash was to blame for my hair's dryness, so I figured I'd try this to "repair" it. This stuff makes my hair feel like it's been coated in wax and glue. My hair is naturally wavy, but it looks dirty after using this. It completely weighs down the hair, making it appear filthy, stringy, and frizzy straight. Thank you, but no thanks.
My hair was crunchy, dry, and prone to breakage before I started using this product. I had no reservations about using this product in my hair because I'd tried everything else and nothing had worked, and I was also on a budget. And it worked like a charm! After applying the conditioner, I seal it in with a castor and vitamin E oil blend. Sometimes I have to pinch myself to believe it's my hair because it's so soft and healthy; it's never felt like this before. One thing I've noticed is that when I use it on damp hair, it helps to define my curls. I'm not sure if it's because it has curling properties or because my hair was in desperate need of moisture and finally received it. That's a big plus in my book. In terms of flaking, I haven't noticed any, even when my hair is soaking wet. Care Free Curl is a product that I use: It still doesn't flake after using Instant Curl Activator! They have a good rapport. br>br>When working with low-level data, I use the LCO method. hair with a high porosity br>I start with water, followed by this Leave-in, the curl activator, castor, and vitamin E oil (I prefer heavier oils).
One ecstatic young lady! Finding the right products has always been a challenge for me because so many promises are made and then broken; however, I did my research on Cantu and was not disappointed after trying it. br>br>I have 2C hair, which is thick/coarse, wavy/curly, and prone to dryness and extreme frizz. For my hair type and texture, I need to apply products while it's still wet and then let it air dry or diffuse on low or cold heat. Furthermore, I am unable to use "any" product; I require oil-based products. When used correctly, oils will not weigh hair down. br>br>The scent is a little strong for my taste, but it's still pleasant and not overpowering. Its ability to be used as a styling leave-in is a huge plus for me, and it didn't leave any flakes. It accomplishes its goal, and my hair looks and feels great as a result.
To begin with, the scent of this product is incredible. Second, I recently cut 6 inches off of my long curly hair and want to grow it out again without the damage caused by bleaching. My curls looked great after I showered, combed them through with a wide tooth comb, dried them in a tshirt, put them in a loose bun, and wrapped them for the night. Plus, the jar's size for the price is one in a million.
This isn't usually what people look for in a product like this, as far as I'm aware. However, if you're like me and want to combine the benefits of a leave-in conditioner with the styling capabilities of gel, this could be the formula for you. I use the'shea butter' version on my daughter (who has long hair), and if you want a soft, silky finish, the'shea butter' formula is a good option.
I recently used this and immediately noticed a difference in the texture and scent, but dismissed it thinking it was just because I hadn't used it in a while and was confused, but after applying it to my hair, I knew something was very wrong. I didn't get the curls I usually get after applying the product, so I waited until I went to my boyfriend's to use the one I recently bought from Walmart to leave there (because I'm not trying to pack up all my hair supplies when I'm going somewhere I don't usually write reviews, so please forgive me if I went into too much detail.
It's a good product. It's probably just my hair, I believe. It does not assist in the hydration of the body. My hair is extremely dry, and it has been subjected to a great deal of heat damage over the years. With the exception of straightening my hair twice in the last year, I've been best free for a year. My hair, on the other hand, is still reverting to 3c/4a curls. This product does not provide me with enough moisture. Aside from that, the product made my hair feel very soft. Although it did not work for me, it might work for you!.
