It thoroughly conditions, in my opinion. My hair is colored as well.
I use a six-week-long color and have had no issues with it. I'm not sure if it'd work well as a permanent color.

Okay, based on the number of positive reviews, I'm wondering if there was a problem with the product I received. br>br>It was easy to apply and did a decent job of conditioning. However, this isn't a deep conditioner. br>br>What was most off-putting about it was the odor. br>I read that it smelled like almond cookies in other reviews. This had a cheap almond-like scent to it. perfume is ish I get the worst headaches from cheap perfumes, and this was no exception. br>br>I expected it to go away after a good rise, but it didn't even come close, and my hair wreaked. I've never had anything like this happen before, and I had to cancel plans because the smell was unbearable. It took a full day and a second rinse to get rid of it.
My son has nonverbal autism and this product has been extremely beneficial to his hair. I used this in conjunction with Miss Jessie's leave-in conditioner in combination with the coily custard, and I saturated his hair before washing it out. I used a boar bristle hair brush and a surgical scrub brush (basically synthetic bristles brush) after applying Carol's Daughter hair balm. This was a gift from above. His matted, tangly hair was magically transformed into silky soft, lustrous hair. I spent thousands of dollars trying to find different products that would remove his tangles and matted hair because I am unable to cut his hair and he refuses to go to a barbershop or any other type of haircut shop, so I am grateful that this product worked and saved me time and money. Whatever you do, this product will not make your hair look greasy or oily.
Within two weeks, it had been bleached four times and dyed twice, completely destroying my hair and making it extremely dry. I only used this product ONCE (as an overnight treatment) and it left my hair feeling incredibly soft! It already looks and feels great, and it smells fantastic! I will continue to use this product because it is of excellent quality for the price. I've tried a lot of different hair masks, but none of them compare to this.
My hair was literally falling out in huge clumps in the shower before I started using this mask, my drain was constantly clogged, and my hair was always knotted. The giant clumps stopped coming out after three uses (spread out over a week) and hair loss began to slow. My hair was shiny and soft after a couple of weeks. I've been using it for months now, and shedding is no longer an issue; I can't believe I put up with so much dead hair before! I can't say enough about how nice it smells, like almond extract, and how much I love it.
It's a farce to refer to it as a hair mask. I had to use a lot of it, and my hair still didn't get any moisture from it. I've tried almost the entire Carol's Daughter product line (which I bought all at once) and have been sorely disappointed with each product, whether it's for skin or body. Especially considering the price. Shea Moisture is by far the better brand; I even recommended it to a few friends, and they all stopped using Carol's Daughter products. Shea Moisture is also black-owned and has helped small businesses during the recent recession. Shea Moisture is a great product to use if you want luscious, soft, and hydrated hair. This company should be avoided at all costs.
My hair has become more manageable since using this cream, and I've received numerous compliments as a result. Let me explain what I mean when I say my hair was bad. Due to health issues, my hair was breaking and falling out a lot. This is something I do once a week and leave on my hair overnight. My hair was not growing, and it appeared dry and brittle when I started using it in the beginning of 2020. My hair feels amazing since I started using this mask. I'm not saying this just to get you to buy it; it works for me. For the time being, I'm not going to try any other cream.
For the past two months, I've been using this product. My hair is dyed, and it has been subjected to daily blow drying and styling, which has resulted in heat damage. My hair is also coarse near my temples, where I'm starting to turn gray (boo!). This information has proven to be extremely beneficial. When I wash my hair, I use this every time. I shampoo, then leave this product on for the remainder of my shower before rinsing it out. I haven't tried it as a hair mask yet. My hair is silkier and smoother than it has ever been. It no longer appears to be as dry and damaged as it once did. It only takes a little to make a big difference. I've had it for two months and haven't even scratched the surface, despite having chin-deep in it. Longer hair will use more product than shorter hair. It smells fantastic, in my opinion! It's a keeper for sure!.
The cream is extremely moisturizing and has a pleasant scent. After application, my curls are extremely soft. When conditioning, my only suggestion is to leave the conditioner on for 20 minutes rather than the bottles' 5-minute recommendation. Allow 10 minutes for the cream to absorb completely. What I like best about the line is how affordable it is, especially given the current economic climate. A fantastic purchase!.
