So, listen up, I don't write reviews as often as I should because I rely on them so much, but I felt compelled to do so for this product, which I discovered after a 12-year search. My 12-year-old daughter's hair is thick, coarse, and curly, and it dries quickly. My hair is thick but soft, and it easily absorbs oil. Both are compatible with this product. I've been doing my own hair for years (since freshman year of college; I'm now 38), and I follow a strict routine. This product complements Mizani's smooth guard conditioner perfectly. I use the Jamaican Black Castor Oil Okay conditioner and comb it through with a big tooth comb after shampooing with Okay's black castor oil shampoo (rinse out). I comb through the Mizani thermasmooth conditioner with a skinny tooth comb while it's still in (mixing conditioner doesn't always work out, but this leaves the hair smooth as butter). I give it a thorough rinse before drying it off with a towel. I use a big tooth comb to comb through a small amount of Shea Moisture Strengthen and Restore Hair serum (This product). Then, using the Jinri 1876W Salon Dryer, straighten your hair with the big tooth attachment. I part my hair into four sections and use a Rusk CTC Technology flat iron to flat iron each section. I use a flat iron to curl my hair, wrap it, and tie it up. Her hair looks as if she just left a celebrity salon in the morning. I'm not bragging about my work as her stylist (I only do my own and hers), but I'm thrilled that after 12 years of experimenting, I've finally found the right mix for her hair. I am a firm believer that there is no such thing as "good hair," but that any hair type can be good if you learn to adapt to its personality. I don't care what it's supposed to do for me; all I care about is how good it smells! For the record, it improves the condition of my hair significantly. SO GLOSSY, SO SOFT, SO SMOOTH, AND IT SMELLS AMAZING. It is impossible for me to express how much I appreciate it. Buy it.
It has a wonderful odor to it. I applied it to my scalp in the hopes of alleviating psoriasis itchiness and flaking, as well as promoting hair growth. It has a lovely, subtle scent. This oil has a wonderful feel to it. I believe I've noticed a significant decrease in itchiness, and my hair feels nourished as a result.
